Explain how principals that define the cognitive level of analysis may be demonstrated through research In the cognitive level of analysis there are three principals that can be demonstrated through research. The cognitive level of analysis focuses on the mental processes, for instance like memory, attention, thinking and language. With that information it see how we take in all our outside information and process it. The three principals consist of; social and cultural factors that affect cognitive processes, human beings are information processors and that mental representations guide behavior, and that mental processes can and should be studied scientifically by developing theories and by using a variety of research methods. These principals allow us to focus on how behavior can truly affect our cognitive levels of analysis. It is said that the cognitive level of analysis can be influenced by social and cultural factors. A cognitive process is schemas, which are organized mental guides and representations of different people and places. Those schemas can be formed from the influence that people received. Those principals are able to define the cognitive level of analysis to a point where it can help with more research into cognition. And while these principals may be very useful for more research and they can be demonstrated through research there is still some space for doubt. This does not automatically mean that the cognitive level of analysis is the only thing that influences behavior. All the other levels of analysis need to be taken into account for the influences on behavior before taking a determined decision on what influences behavior.
