Animals Rights Is it fair that animals have to go through abuse neglect and torture every day over a simple fact that humans do not believe animals do not have rights? Humans use and kill animals for food or clothing. Because people or humans think of animals as property so they do as they please with animals Some people believe that animals should be treated in the same way humans are and have familiar rights, where others think that it is more important to use them as they desire for food and medical research. This Paper will discuss both points of view. With and explanation of animals, people believe it is acceptable for several reasons.
As you begin to take a stand in animal cruelty and defend the animals of the world, remember the unnecessary cruelty involved in animal testing, how to regulate the process of animal testing to make it less inhumane, and the benefits of the solution and possible consequences that will occur if the solution is not implemented. Humans cannot achieve the high value of morality if we do not view every creature equally and treat all creatures with compassion. With that being said I urge you to consider your personal beliefs, your pets, your family, how would you feel if these tests were being run on them? Answering that question I hope and I know you will begin to make a change and help save the animals of America.
Animals do not deserve this kind of life style were they are abused and neglected they should feel safe and love and for this reason is why people should stop animal cruelty. Animal cruelty makes animals suffer when hurt; cause owners to abandoned there animals and left homeless and also causes some animals to be put into dangerous situations. “The infliction of physical pain, suffering or death upon an animal goes back to ancient times”(Animal cruelty history). For several years animals have been abused and neglected for unreasonable purposes. The human society of the United States believes that “People with emotional problems may beat, shoot, or stab animals or set them on fire”(Animal abuse and neglect).
Animal abuse is cruel, to stop it, we need to educate people about their animals before they become a pet owner. Animal abuse hurts animals and it’s wrong. It hurts physically and mentally. Abusing anyone is cruel and also illegal. It hurts them and sometimes for no reason.
Animal cruelty is any act of violence or neglect against an animal. A few things one may have seen are an animal tied up outside for all hours of the day with no food or water or maybe a person has seen an owner purposely hit their dog. Animals, like humans, have feelings and reactions to the way they are handled: abused animals could become dangerous to society. Society most often defines animal cruelty as the infliction of physical pain, suffering, or death upon an animal when not necessary for purposes of training, discipline, or to procure food (MSPCA Angell 1). If the animal is hurt not to procure food, or release the animal from incurable suffering but wantonly for mere sport, the indulgence of a cruel and vindictive temper, or with reckless indifference to its pain it is also considered animal cruelty (“Animal Cruelty Law and Legal Definition” 1).
In conclusion, to make animal cruelty a more known problem, society should get the word out about who to reach if there is suspicion of an animal abuser, or if there is a suspicion of animal cruelty. Everyone knows to call 911 if there is a human emergency. There needs to be a hotline for animal emergencies as well.
Animal rights is the viewpoint that animals have rights corresponding to the way humans do. Animal cruelty is a worldwide social problem that is multidimensional. Animals are generally abused in four major areas: factory farms, in the clothing trade, in laboratories, and in the entertainment industry (PETA.org). Factories often conceal their harmful acts to avoid animal welfare laws imposed by the government. In a household, people isolate or physically abuse their animals, which can also be linked to family abuse.
This paper seeks to answer these questions and give possible solutions to end the malicious practice of animal abuse. Causes There are several theories on how violence towards animals begins. One theory is that there is a pre-established mental state of abusers which allows them to accept abuse, and at times even enjoy harming animals. The ready acceptance and enjoyment of cruelty means many everyday emotions can trigger animal cruelty. This occurs when a person feels an extreme emotion, like anger.
Humans need to stop thinking about themselves as a superior species to other animals. They have to start thinking about how we can stop the cruelty that they inflict upon animals day after day in experiment after experiment. Tom Regan, a well-known animal rights activist, wrote, "the fundamental wrong is the system that allows us to view animals as our resources, here for us- to be eaten, or surgically manipulated, or exploited for sport or money" (Regan 14). Nothing could be more true than this fact; man considers itself such a superior species that all others were put on earth for his convenience. It is this type of thinking that has gotten humans to the place where we are today.
We as humans can do a little at a time until we helped both fellow humans and our fur-friends the animals. Activists lobbies get laws changed where animals are concerned. Activists in animal rights movement believe animals should have the same rights to health and happiness as humans beings since the animals have to suffer emotional as well as physical trauma like humans. People disagree about how animals should and can be used and about how much rights animals have if any. The answer truly depends on what a person thinks an animals is as we recognize more fully our own fragile existence on this planet, we begin to take the fate of other species in consideration.
