Recommended: How was odysseus more than a hero

Brave was the most important character trait. One example is when Odysseus was tied up on the ship and Odysseus said let the harpies sing. Another example is when Odysseus stabbed the cyclops in the eye. My final reason for brave being a good character trait for Odysseus is when he went to the land of the dead. Brave was the most important character trait because in the sirens; it said “let the men tie you in a luger, hand and foot. Back to the mast so you can hear the sirens”. Odysseus beats them by hearing there annoying voices. This is how I know he was brave. Another reason Odysseus was brave is because he faced the cyclops head on without hesitation. He then stabbed the cyclops in the eye. And the belly of the cyclops was full on man

    Odysseus is a hero because he acts courageously while facing the many challenges he encounters. Odysseus’s shows great bravery when he engages in physical challenges. Odysseus daringly fights against the suitors, while significantly outnumbered: “For I must tell you this is no affair / of ten or even twice ten men, but scores, throngs of them” (XVI, 291 – 293). Even though Odysseus is facing hundreds of men, his bravery keeps him confident that he can win the battle.
