Brutus is called noble multiple times throughout the play. Being a noble person means that you have to have qualities such as being strong, honest, honorable, courageous, and in some cases, a good leader. In the play, Brutus presents many of these qualities numerous times.
One major example is when Brutus had to decide if killing Caesar was for the best for Rome. The action itself wasn’t noble or displayed strength, but Brutus thought that if he didn’t, his country would crumble. He portrayed these qualities by going through with the conspirators’ plan, like strength and courage. Brutus was strong when he had to kill his best friend, but for what he thought was a good reason. He had to be strong to prepare himself for what was to come afterward, leading an army through battle, and trying to convince the civilians who wanted to kill him that what he did was the best thing he could do. Sacrificing Caesar for what Brutus thought was the best, still would have required a lot of strength.
Another example of Brutus being noble is his courage. Without this trait, he wouldn’t have been able to help the other conspirators without knowing what he was going to get himself into.
