What are the possibilities to make it in America? “In the last century, “making it” meant a steady job, a job, a family, and the freedom to choose those aspects of the life that fulfilled a person’s dreams”, on the American Dream Unit. What about today’s society? Many things has changed and there's many obstacles. It is not possible for everyone to make it in America, because there is a lot of things you have to do to succeed in life. Being in America is to have a job or a paying job to be successful in life. Nothing in life is easy to get, people will want to succeed than fail. Without money, people can't get or go anywhere in life. It would not be possible for everyone to make it in America if they’re not making money. Making it in America is having a good paying job, supporting your family and many more, but not everyone can succeed on the first try. Some people, without families don’t really struggle, but the ones that do have families would struggle, because who would watch their kids, who would take care of them. Getting a job would be making a commitment to coming to work everyday, work at certain hours, and coming on time. In “The Great Gatsby”, the American Dream was to work hard and earn their money but most would lend from one another, the American Dream was already corrupted. Settlers had came from Europe to West America, they were seeking wealth and freedom, the pioneers had headed to west America for the same reason.
