Did you know that there are more people who own a cell phone than a toothbrush? That is why face to face is better than digital communication. Face to face communication leads you with more point of view of a person. It also gives you body language and you can see how a person acts in real life. People in this day in age are always busy on their phones and never look up or show emotion. Lack of communication causes a decline in intelligence and respect. Many kids today, if not all, struggle with being respectful at all times. They are ruining their speech, the way they talk, also their “idk’s” and “omg’s” in the writing prompts they use in classes. “One look at a teenager's text is enough to give any parent hard evidence that this online This starts controlling your life from the roots. Also, addiction to social media causes problems with day to day skills like talking and working. A team of psychologists have found that receiving likes on the internet releases dopamine in the brain. This creates a sense of pleasure. Similar triggers for this experience includes eating chocolate or winning money.” Everyday people are wasting everyday of their lives on catching up with the gossip and caring more about status. People are spending treacherous amounts of time on social media instead of exercising or reading books. “Studies have shown that people read only about 19 minutes a day on average and most people spend only about 17 minutes in sports or exercise each day? It is unacceptable to see people spend more time on Facebook than they do on exercise and reading for improvement.” People are getting too involved with themselves, although self confidence is good, caring more about the status quo is where it needs to end.
