Ethical dilemmas Ethical conflicts can vary according to the industry and type of dilemma. While some employees rarely face them, others may deal with them regularly. Even employers and employees who don 't expect to face an ethical dilemma in the near future should have a plan ready to handle one if it occurs. A good ethical plan should be made by the company (1) help you sort out the ethical issues faced (2) help weigh all your options and (3) help make a decision that protects your ethical standards while protecting your purchases from vendors and sale to customers. It only takes one unethical choice to start a pattern of dishonesty; so one needs to be prepared to face any ethical situation with a plan of action. As the second level manager of the company, I would first find out the fact and the truth of the matter. Having established the fact, I would raise the issue with him and at this point, decision would be made on whether to report the purchasing manager’s conduct to my superior. It is possible that other companies by the vendors made similar offers, reporting the purchasing manager 's conduct to his company may help to reestablish fairness in the bidding process." Confrontation often would give me the chance to stop unethical behavior while preserving or even enhancing my relationship with the purchasing personnel (guilty party). In confronting the purchasing personnel and other involved in the act, I would assure the party involved that I want them to stop what they 're doing for their own good, as well as for their company 's, colleagues ' and vendors ' well being. I would carefully consider the place and time of my confrontation. To help keep me on good terms with those i confront, address them without self-righteousness and without belittling
