An allegory is a narrative or a poem, that can reveal a hidden meaning. Beowulf has many hidden meanings that come from the events that happen throughout the story, for an example Beowulf shows loyalty and bravery without the story saying so. In the story Beowulf shows bravery and loyalty by the things that he does and the decisions that he makes, by going after Grendel, and the dragon, even with the risk of being killed which he eventually was, but he was not afraid because he knew that the people needed him to do what he did so that they could live safely.
