1. TRUST VS. MISTRUST (0-1) Trust vs. Mistrust is the stage were children are completely dependent upon their parents. According to Erik Erikson, the American psychologist that created the theory of psychosocial development, he believes that the trust versus mistrust stage is the most important stage in a person’s life. My mother and father obviously took great care of me, because I’m alive today. They took care of all my basic needs. They feed me when I was hungry and changed me when I soiled myself. They also bathed and clothed me. I depended on them for everything, for food, nutrition, comfort, love and affection and my parents provided it all. I believe that I will form a close, loving committed relationship with someone I really care about, over the age of 22 but under 28. During this relationship, I will also have children and form deep, meaningful, close long-lasting relationships with them, friends and family. During this stage in life I developed Intimacy. 7. GENERATIVITY VS. STAGNATION (40-65) Generativity versus Stagnation is the stage where adults want to contribute to the world around them. During this stage, I will vounlentree and help out at my children and grandchildren’s schools, to try to leave my mark with my children and their peers I help. The world of tomorrow is left to the kids of today. During this stage, I strived to create and nurture things and others that will outlast me. In this stage, I developed Generativity. 8. INTERGRITY VS. DESPAIR (65+) Integrity versus Despair is the stage where older adults tend to reflect on their life and consider whether or not they lived a meaningful life. During this stage, I believe that I will look back on my life with fulfillment and little to no regrets. I will be proud of the decisions that I have made, like I am today, and gain wisdom from all the stages of life. In this stage, I will develop Integrity and happily embrace moving on to the next stage of life. The
