Cosmological Argument

The knowledge of God is the cause of things. For the knowledge of God is to all creatures what the knowledge of the artificer is to things made by his art. The cosmological argument seeks to respond to the human need for answers to questions like who created the universe. The cosmological argument is a posteriori argument meaning that it is based on our experiences of the world around us. The contingency argument, the Kalam argument, and the causation or existence prove that there must be a first cause, God.
Thomas Aquinas’ argument from contingency is one that holds true to this day. The contingency argument defines two types of objects in the universe, contingent being and necessary beings. A contingent being is an object that cannot exist without a necessary being. The necessary being causes its existence. The existence of contingent beings necessitate a being that has to exist to allow contingent beings to exist. This necessary being is called God.
