The first thing I will go over is the actors. Overall, they did a fantastic job and portrayed the characters well. Zachery Schaftlein, who played Father Brenden Flynn, and Abigail Elmore, Sister Aloysius Beauvier, both did a fantastic job in their roles. I loved the
The overall filming of the movie was very pleasing to the eye, and proved to be one of the

The art of this film is magnificent. The special effects made it more realistic than any other. The engineers worked all day and every day to figuring out how to transform cars to robots. Many of computer graphics knowledge, and hours were put into this film for whatever Bay wanted. The lightning and the color on the set worked well with the props and as well as the r...
This essay will look at how cinematography, mise-en-scène, editing and soundtrack, are used to create the presentation of the characters and the story, in a scene from the film The Matrix (1999), directed by Andy Wachowski and Lana Wachowski.
In that sense, I found the story interesting, especially as I've always been a sucker for war movies in general. Unfortunately, though, it wasn't as good as I had hoped it to be. The cinematography is great and the action sequences very well-made (especially the aerial battles, which is among the best and most thrilling I've seen in recent memory), but in the acting department it left a lot to desire. It's not bad, but I just found the cast to be very pale and boring. I was also very bothered by the fake-sounding accents, which to me came off as very strained and unnatural. But other than that, it's a decent war flick. Certainly, no candidate for the Oscar's, but worth seeing for its well-directed action
Moving forward in time, Ex Machina first aired in 2015 during a time of reform and progression. In the movie, we are presented to Ava, a robot built by Nathan. Nathan is the CEO of Bluebook, a popular search engine. Amusingly enough, Nathan builds Ava by using information that he obtains from those who use his website. Nathan decides to use the information from his users because he wants to emulate her behavior as that of a human, so he uses all that his users search as a way to determine human thought and capture that within Ava. Using the turning the test, Caleb must determine if Ava was able to manipulate him into thinking that she was not AI. However, after a while of Caleb and Ava being together, she falls in love with him.
The first thing that comes to mind for me is the use of one of the first big plot point in the movie. It’s surprising to find out that it barely has any relevance to the movie. Or at least, not as much as it probably could have had. The moment played a minor role in Lightning’s character development, but nothing that couldn’t have been done without it. Also, even though the beginning and end of the movie was entertaining and very well done, everything in between felt like filler. Chances are, this entire middle part of the film could have been almost entirely reworked as long as they kept the main points, and the movie could have had more or less the same ending. I simply didn’t feel that this part of the film held as much
Charlie Hunnam was selected by Ritchie to be the lead in this project from the start and he is very charismatic in the role. Being a fan of Sons of Anarchy, it really wasn’t much of a surprise about his performance. Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey who plays the important role as the Mage is a standout even though at times she comes off as more anger than necessary portraying a no-nonsense character. The cast has a lot of chemistry and are generally pleasant, the only person who didn’t get a lot to work with was Jude Law who was a one note villain and could have done much more especially working with Ritchie like we saw in the Sherlock Holmes films. The special effects are a mixed bag. When it comes to the monsters and the creatures, they look amazing displayed on the big screen. However some of the action scenes look like bad CGI (silmar to what the Matrix did when Neo fought a bunch of Agent Smiths) overall it’s well done with the exception of a couple of scenes you feel like could have been done better with a 120 million dollar
The movie’s length left me antsy, but I greatly enjoyed the proficient acting, detailed sets, and thorough presentation. I appreciated the subtle homoeroticism between Ben-Hur and Messala in light of ancient Rome’s somewhat flexible sexual culture.
