Whenever I look at the pen with a panda figure, I could not help smiling. The pen, a gift from one of my students, reminds me of the precious and joyful time spent with my students. It was by chance that I volunteered to help kids with their math. My uncle works as a math teacher in a primary school in my hometown. There was a time when my grandmother all of a sudden had a swelling in her brain due to the hypertension, and my families were focusing on looking after her. To relieve my uncle’s pressure, I helped his students with their homework. “Excuse me, can you tell me why the volume of the piled up cubes is……” The voice came from a girl who was taller than her peers. She looked worried—partly because she felt that she should not be disturbing
