Psychology has been a very controversial research topic throughout the years. The purpose of this research paper is to highlight why Ethics of Science, Methods in Psychology and The study of Repressed Memory are a controversial topic in Psychology. Beginning with Ethics of Science and how scientist should avoid thinking about Ethics and worry more about the research on hand . Methods in Psychology can be controversial too because some methods could lead to brake through research but due to some Ethics they can't be done. With new research being done everyday scientist have to follow the Ethics on their research. But the possibilities are endless on new research if they avoided thinking about Ethics. For example brain to brain interfaces is a new experiment being done on humans where it's allowing direct communication from one brain to another without speech. 2004 University of Washington researchers performed a BBI experiment that gave a person's command over another person that was half a mile away. The goal was to move the other person hand and they was successful. Another example is head transplants a procedure that one doctor has promised to develop by 2018. Dr. Sergio Canavero has promised to perform the world's first head transplant by 2018. He published medical papers that he has proposed head transplant thanks to new technology. Both of these examples sound amazing but they have negatives too. They both faced uncertainty by scientist because the Ethics of Science. In the case of the example of brain to brain interfaces many scientist thought that the ethical issues are countless. There's no kind of neuro security can they put in place to protect individuals from having accidental information shared or removed from their brains. If two people share an idea, who is entitled to claim ownership? Those are some of the ethical issues it faces. For Dr. Sergio Canavero he faces uncertainty from experts in the U.S they are skeptical that the procedure is feasible and say it would be unethical to perform the procedure when it hasn't been proven in animal
