Delivery drones are brand new usage of drone technology in commercial industry. In 2016, Australian Post has decided to trial the use of Drones to deliver mail (Francis, 2016). However, considering the ethical issues and the dangers the drones can introduce to society, Australian Post needs to discontinue the project and must not use drones for delivery. In short, privacy of people will be breached. Secondly, fallen drones will harm people. Lastly, it will reduce the employment rate. Wide use of drones can breach people’s privacy, which is the basic human rights all people should be offered. Typical drones are computer-controlled half-automated small helicopter. They have flight computers, gyro-scopes, GPSs and of course, video cameras connected to the flight computers and Internet. As we all know, there is gravity. That is why something flying will fall if it cannot maintain its flying force. It is very easy for drones to stop flying, accelerate at 9.8m/s^2 and hit people walking on the ground. Missy Cummings, a director of the Duke University’s Human and Autonomy Lab, said that people’s reaction can be an obstacle of drones. Cummings said that her 8-year-old son can throw rocks at drones.
