A. Victor Wickersham “American’s Worst Congressman” or better known as Victor Wickersham, who was given the title after he made a sham of being an Oklahoma’s Representative. Wickersham was aligned with the democratic party in Oklahoma, where he served Oklahoma on local, state, and federal levels. Wickersham was known for his private enterprise, a real estate business, which he ran out of the capital. He was also known for preventing military base closures after the end of World War II. Yet, was a prime example of the colorful and corrupt politics that Oklahoma became known for during the middle of the 20th century. B. OCAST Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) was pushed through the state legislature in 1973 as a constitutional amendment, creating it difficult to remove, which allowed for the investment of tax playing public funds for private enterprises. These private enterprises Jerome Tiger Jerome Tiger, a Creek – Seminole descendent, began his life on the pseudo Creek Tribal land of the West Eufaula Baptist Church. After attending the Muskogee Public Schools system, he learned he enjoyed boxing and art. After a short period in the U.S. Navy, he returned home to Muskogee where under the tutelage of his older brother, who had attended an exemplary art school, he learned the traditional style of Native American art; He became well known as an artist, where his works were often emulated. He died at the young age of 26 from an accidental gunshot that killed him in 1967. E. Timothy McVeigh In short, Timothy McVeigh was responsible for the worst single man act of mass murder in the United States history. McVeigh used a mixture of agricultural chemicals and diesel fuel in his homemade bomb to destroy the Oklahoma City’s Murrah Federal building on April 19th, 1995.
