Throughout the New Testament we see Jesus take on a profusion of significance roles as he fulfills the prophecies within the Old Testament. These roles hold great weight of significance that helps explain who Jesus truly was. Prophet, priest, and king are the three key roles that are momentous in comprehending the sovereignty of Jesus.
The role of Prophet represents Jesus ,in the New Testament, as the living and walking word of God. Jesus was the incarnation. In other words, he was God with flesh on, completely equal and inseparable from God. Jesus’s ministry was to proclaim the Word of God, but what separates him from other profits seen through the bible,is that he spoke under his own authority. As prophet Jesus confronts sin.
