Introduction Everyone has their own definition of word health. For example, a woman may be worried about her son’s health when he drinks 10 bottles of beer every night. This woman may be referring to her son’s psychological, physical, and emotional health. My own definition of health is someone who is physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, spiritually, intellectually, and professionally stable and free of diseases or injuries. However, if one’s of these components of health are affected and it can cause a distress in other parts of the body. Therefore, word health or healthier can also be used in non-medical context. Spiritual health is the one that gather me through life. Spiritual health helps me to overcome obstacles in life. I take my religion every seriously, I pray five times a day and belief in high power. Spiritual health helps me with my self-esteem and decreases my anxiety. I scored moderate in intellectual, professional, emotional, and social health. Mental and emotional health is a state of well-being in which the individual understand how to cope with life stressors and make healthy decision. Therefore, I scored low in physical health. All these three factors will help me improve my physical health. Implementing a healthy diet will help me maintain normal weight. Eating healthy food it is not about depriving yourself from eating. Eating healthy foods such as fresh vegetables, fruits, low sugar and fat diet, drink plenty of water and home cook meal. When I started nursing school, I see myself eating lot of junk foods on the street due to timing to cook healthy home food. Studies reveal that traditional college students often engage in risky health behaviors such as physical inactivity, unhealthy diet, smoking, and other negative health practices, which can have long-term consequences on their health (Bryes et al, 2013). Eating processing foods can lead to diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, stroke, cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases, and cancer. Challenges to healthy lifestyle choice may include the greater accessibility and lower price of processed and fast foods (higher fat and calories) rather than non-processed fresh, healthier, foods (Gabel Speroni, 2014). I am planning to eat more cook home meal that has the entire nutritious requirement. Changing my eating habits will help me to reduce my risks from getting these diseases.
