Relationships (8) One important component needed for a cohesive work environment is relationships. Relationships help keep an organization together, and also provide a healthy and comfortable environment for the employees. Relationships bring personal cohesiveness, and personal support within an organization. There are different components that contribute to healthy relationships in an organization. They include how members the flow of communication, methods used to communicate, the way members communicate, the way conflict is handled, and the supportiveness and openness of the members. At the Met the Pastor is the head of the organization, the ministers below him, then its other staff, and them the congregation. Communication flow at the Met is relatively smooth and easy. They have a system in place that ensures that everyone is heard, and not only heard but they also ensure that everyone receives feedback. At the Met I noticed that all levels of the organization are supportive of each other, and open to correction. As a part of my observation, I observed a choir rehearsal. At the rehearsal I witness both the supportiveness and openness of the members. During the rehearsal, they engaged in different group activities to ensure that each member of the choir sung the correct parts. The members were extremely supportive. When one section of the choir wasn’t singing that well, the other sections would shout of words of encouragement. I also witnessed the openness of the members. At one point of the rehearsal the minister in charge gave an incorrect instruction, and one of the choir members pointed it out. When this happened, the minister was open to the correction and even said “I was wrong.” He then corrected the issue and continued with the
