When you think about pit bulls, what comes to your mind? Most people label them as vicious pets. But clearly, they don't have a heart. To begin, pit bulls are poorly mistreated to this day. People believe that pitbulls are not safe pets to have. These three articles show pitbulls should be kept as pets. In addition, pit bulls are unfairly targeted in the media. According to James Cross, the media shows preference to dogs with better reputations while over reporting pit bulls attacks. In the media, pit bulls are represented as untrusted and horrible dogs. People report dog attacks not knowing what breed the dog is. They automatically think it’s a pit bull, as the breed takes the blame for it. It also states that when"other dogs injure or kill another dog or human, they are only labeled as vicious without harming anyone. Moreover, people discriminate pit bulls based on how they look.
