Lancelot Brown lived 30 August 1716 - 6 February 1783. Lancelot was one of their most known English landscape architects. Most people remember him "the last of the great English eighteenth-century artists to be accorded his due", and "England's greatest gardener". Lancelot has designed over 170 parks and some of them still exist.Τhe bid of Lancelot Brown in English garden was enormous. Lancelot was inspired by the Charles Bridgeman and William Kent.
LancΤelot Brown was born in a small village of Kirkharle, Northumberland and studied at Campo School. Young Lancelot began to learn about the principles of design after his was working as assistant gardener at Sir William Loraine's modest seat at Kirkharle Hall. In 1739 after it was ready to move south to try his luck. His first landscape work was for a new lake in the park at Kiddington Hall in Oxfordshire. He moved to Wotton Underwood, Buckinghamshire in Richard Grenville in Lord Cobham.
