More and more children are committing delinquent crimes and we have to figure out what is the root to all of these crimes. Bad parenting does have a relationship with juvenile delinquency. Juvenile delinquency is the committing of criminal acts by a young person, especially one below the age 18. Kids under the age of 18 need guidance and good parents in their life because we are so young and have a lack of experience in certain situations. Nowadays parents influence their children to do things that would be considered bad and could land the child in jail, which isn’t good at all because the most important person in the child’s life is helping them make bad choices that could cost them their lives. The article from America SPCC explains that the parent is almost essential for a child to become a responsible respectful person. The parent has to correct the child when the child is wrong and also help mold the child so that it can grow to be a great person, once the child is pass being an adolescent then the decisions he or she make are upon themselves. Sometimes a child just wants to be bad and it isn’t always the parent’s fault that a child becomes an juvenile delinquent but bad parenting does have a relationship with juvenile delinquency. With me being an adolescent I understand how us teenagers are but if there is nobody there to tell us what’s right and wrong we will continue to do what we believe is okay even though we know it’s wrong we’ll continue to do it because it doesn't bother anyone. Also, I believe I am a reflection of my parents, therefore I want to act the way they tell me to and make others see that I am a respectful young man. If the people I look up to sets a bad example for I'm going to follow that example and do the same and so will most teenagers.
