Back then, the public was not able to read newspapers, books, and enjoy magazines. Now, we can enjoy these things because of the inkjet printer. An Inkjet Printer is a printer in which the characters are formed by minute jets of ink. It is any printer that places extremely small droplets of ink onto paper to create an image. In 1976, the Inkjet printer was invented, but it took until 1988 for the inkjet to become a home consumer item with Hewlett- packards release of the Deskjet Printer. Canon and Hewlett Packard faced and accomplished challenges, such as controlling the flow of ink, which then led the printers to begin to come into the market.
Hewlett Packards created Deskjet Printer were priced at 1,000 dollars when first released in 1988. It was very expensive, and most people couldn’t afford it. This event resulted in the making of another printer which used and sprayed ink only where it was needed, so this one was less expensive, but slower than the original printer. Since then, the inkjet printer has evolved a lot through the course of time.
