Recommended: The history of football essay

Football history is one of the greatest sports in history of all time. Football is a contact sport that began in 1863 in England, but it wasn't know as football is was know as rugby. Rutgers & Princeton made the game a of rugby. It all began when they were throwing a pigskin ball. They were running & tackling each other and it came to mind "this should be a sport" A player from Yale name Walter Camp was the first to actually play the game and help make football a sport.

To move the ball down the field you need a game plan know as the offense. The offense is the team that try to run plays to get points know as a touchdown. If you score a touchdown then you get six points followed by a pat attempt which earns you one point extra so you will have a total of seven points. The offense contains eleven players: two receivers, two tackles, two guards, a tight end, quarterback, fullback/running back, and halfback/ running back. To run a good offense you have to have a good offense of coordinator which mean you have to learn the plays and run them plays depending on how the offense is set up.

While the game is played the same way they are played in different forms. The preseason games are games that doesn't count to your record they are more like warm up games. The season are games that count towards your record depending on how many games you win or loose. The playoffs are games that are set up for those who are trying to go to the super bowl but in order to get in the playoffs it depends on how your season record went. Then it's the super bowl game which is two best teams of that season going head to head in the biggest game in the NFL. To win a super bowl game you must beat your opponent to win the trophy of the season and maybe get the MVP of the game.
