His italian pizzeria is located in black neighborhood. Therefore, he must follow the rules and traditions of the community where he conducts his business. In addition, Sal fails to resemble a conflict with Buggin in a friendly way. Instead, he screams at him and forces him to leave. Sal deals with his another customer, who comes to the pizzeria with a stereo playing loudly, very rudely. Being upset with Sal’s treatment these two individuals join together and try to boycott Sal’s Pizza by coming to his place and showing him their disrespect. Sal smashes Raheem’s stereo and accidently calls them blacks. As a result, Sal and his sons start fighting with all black customers they have at that time. The police arrive and break the fight but accidently kills Raheem. Having realized what they have done, police put the suspects into a police car and leaves the scene. People blame Sal regarding Raheem’ death. Mookie takes a garbage can and throws it into the Pizzeria. Even though Mookie is Sal’s employee he is the one who starts destruction. Had Sal created friendly and ethical environment among his employees, he might have avoided collapse of his business. The crowd start destroying the place while Smiley fires it
