Do you have a dentist office that you go to? Do they treat you right? Well dental assistants have many needs and are needed to help you keep healthy teeth, dental assistants have requirements to be able to play the roles and responsibilities in this job. Without them there would be a lot of people with unhealthy teeth and it would not smell very good. Dental assistants have important jobs and have to make sure the patients are prepared so when the dentist comes in dental assistants will be ready and know what is going on or what dental assistants are about to do.

They have to welcome and seat the people and it is important the way they approach them and welcome them so that they keep their business by being nice and caring. They have to prepare the patients by pulling up all their information on the computer so that they are ready for when the dentist comes in to check them out and see how their teeth are looking.
They are needed to get all of the tools out and ready and put covers on the tools that they will be using on the teeth, and they have to put the bib on the patient so nothing gets on them while they are working. Then when the dentist comes in they tell the patient what they will be doing to the patient to make sure that's okay that they do that. Finally they go to work on the patient's mouth and the dental assistant assists the dentist at chairside during the treatment and hands them the tools when he needs them.
Dental assistants aren't always just working on teeth. They work in the front offices too. When a patient comes out and done being worked on the patient usually go to the desk so they can pay or make their next appointment so they will go ahead and have it set. People also call about their appointments to cancel or reschedule for a new one so the dental assistants have to be there to answer the

For some reason even though I've taken a hiatus from assisting, I always come out with a very nice picture. It makes me feel really good knowing that I still got it! The dentist has an overall positive attitude towards patients. every now and then the patient will act very anxious or aggressive and the dentist will take notes and warn me of ways that we handle certain situations sometime she could come off as being a little bit blunt
The best description of a dental hygienist is a professional whose main job is to teach their patients necessary oral hygiene skills and provide great dental care. Having shadowed a dental hygienist prior to that of a dental assistant I didn’t know what to expect their job to be. Although I did assume a dental assistant’s job consisted of handing instruments to the doctor during the various procedures so I was surprised to see just how many responsibilities they have. Each dental clinic has different expectations of what they require their dental assistant to do in my shadowing experience they were responsible for: preparing the room prior to the patients arrival, greeting the patient upon arrival and inviting them into the operation room, confirming dental history with the patient, briefing them on the procedure they are about to have and what to expect, answering the clients questions to the best of their abilities, assisting the doctor in the procedure and aiding with any tasks required of you, when the patient is ready to leave helping them to look presentable and explaining what to expect after that kind of procedure, updating and verifying dental records, and sanitizing and sterilization of the room and all instruments after departure of

Without dental hygienists, dentists would have to prepare each client by doing the tasks of the hygienist along with performing their duties as a dentist. I can remember being a little boy sitting at the piano in church, listening to the preacher talk of how Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, which symbolizes the idea that we are here to serve. That message profoundly resonated with me throughout life. It was not until I began accompanying my grandmother to her multiple dental visits that I was able to see how I could put this calling of service into action. I saw firsthand the significant positive impact my grandmother’s dentist was able to make in her life, which encouraged me to want to learn about the field of dentistry. I then started researching dental health and learning of the importance of oral healthcare and how it affects the entire body. I then began to learn of how patient access to proper dental care was limited because of several factors such as, financial barriers, transportation, and dental fear, especially in the underserved minority communities.
