Have you ever wondered why a child or any human of mankind acts or thinks a certain way? When my teachers or others in general ask me what do I want to be when I grow up my first answer is always undecided. Therefore most of the time I respond with the answer of becoming a child psychologist. There are many different fields of psychology. Since my career is undecided, I just stick with becoming a child psychologist. I love little kids and helping when needed. It is from the ancient Greeks. At first, no one knew where it originates from, so they say from the book Aristotle which is ancient Greek time. Over time, as the days become more modern they start to consider calling it psychology. Eventually, this became a more sufficient career to people who started studying psychology. Alfred Adler is known as one of the most influential thinkers in psychology. He had a strong influence on a number of other eminent psychologists such as Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, and Karen Horney. In order to become a Psychologist I must get a bachelors degree in sociology. I also must turn around and get my doctorate degree. This may take up to 4 to 7 years. It also depends on what field of psychology I go off into. At most 4 Years of college are needed in order to get accepted into undergraduate school to become a psychologist. This is something I must achieve to do my dream career. To conclude my essay child psychology or any field of psychology is something I would like to do. Dr. Correia believes that if you want to be psychology make sure you like it enough to stick with it. Starting early and learning psychology as soon as possible and continuing with it would be the best advice if you want to be a psychologist. For Dr. Correia he greatly enjoys his job as a neuropsychologist. His future ambitions are to do more research on the brain. In my head I think I have gone over tons of different degrees and career ideas and none of them seemed to really jump out at me. That was until I found Psychology it was very interesting to me and I found that I could be passionate about it. One of my visions as a psychology practitioner scholar is becoming a clinical counselor. My purpose in psychology is to help people understand their life in a clear distinct way. I specifically want to target children and, help them grow and be more than they have the potential to be. I want to focus on the child development of children based on their environment. I want to be able understand children react the way they do in certain situations. Children have a way of not being able to express themselves fully so being able to help them understand their emotions.

Child Psychologists - I am very interested in the field of child psychologist, mainly because so many doctors, parents, and school officials only desire that children behave rather than wondering what is making them behave this way. I would love the opportunity to use my knowledge from health psychology, and other complimenting classes to help determine the reasoning behind behavior issues, social ineptness, and emotional needs that children with and without special circumstances deal with on a daily basis. I realize that in order to perform this type of job I have several more years of hard work and dedication ahead. However, I feel that the need is present and in our fast-paced world, it appears to be growing rather than leveling out.
Growing up I had always been asked the infamous question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and my answer had always been a shrug or a simple "I don 't know yet". If I was asked the same question now, I could confidently and very passionately say, "I want to be a doctor; a humanitarian who brings positive change in someone 's life.". It seems like a very general statement but I truly hope to one day become somebody who can use her expertise and profession to help others.
In psychology there are many different fields for people, if you’re not interesting in one thing there will most likely be another option for you. The career field I picked was Child Psychology. Child psychology is the study of how children act and behave. Depending on his preferred area of study, a child psychologist will often work with all sorts of children. Not every child that a child psychologist works with is considered to be abnormal.
