Adoption of Virtual machines in e-learning:
New technologies are supporting the education systems in the world. This is through making education available and cheap to acquire. In the modern world, the emerging technologies in Information technology support network education which includes online and distance learning (Howell, Williams, & Lindsay, 2003). Information technology has been enabled by wireless and mobile computing ability. This has helped to create convenience environment which is anytime, anywhere and anyway teaching and learning (Schulz, 2010). This means that institution of higher learning will have to dig deep in their technology spending to meet the need for this type of education. At the same time, many institutions have to redesign their work flows, network structures, application so that to meet this demand (Różewski, Kusztina, Tadeusiewicz, & Zaikin, 2011).
In order to overcome this, the majority of the world universities is adopting virtualization of their learning Systems in both local use and storage hence the need for cloud computing. This has enhanced the efficiency of providing better education service with little modification of the old system to suit the institution needs (Różewski, Kusztina, Tadeusiewicz, & Zaikin, 2011).
The support of virtual machine in practical Institutions of higher learning is offering courses which are practically oriented. This has really been challenged in a way that, the university has to invest heavily or less compromises the quality of the course. The virtual machines have turned to be the answer to this challenge (Ercan, 2010). They have been created, installed and used for hands on experience and practical’s so that to impact knowledge and skill to...

.... There so many types of Windows server operating systems. So at this stage, the administrator has to determine the best Window Server, which fits the workload consideration plan. The administrator has also to determine the best management tool available to hold and to fit server consolidation plans of a given organization. This is the lot where the Hyper-V manager comes in to consideration because information technology supports the installation, deployment and management of virtual servers
After the best management tool has been identified, information technology has to be installed. This installation of Hyper-V Manger is essential so that top create a platform where the virtual machines will be installed and managed.
Then after successful installation of Hyper-V Manger, This means that the virtual machine can be created afresh or migrated from the physical Server.
This will allow PVM to reduce network usage and improve server performance and data share between servers. One benefit of having multiple servers is if one server breaks down, other server are able to handle the data therefore important information will not be lost. Furthermore staffs are able to access information easier and fast. This will mean it is easy to locate and track information which is needed. One drawback is in the short term is can be very expensive to run multiple servers .Another drawback of having multiple servers at Pvms is it will require skill professional IT staff to run the server therefore staff will need to be retrain to use the new servers which may take time and have high training cost. Lastly a drawback for Pvms is viruses can spread to other servers within
Virtualization is a technology that creates an abstract version of a complete operating environment including a processor, memory, storage, network links, and a display entirely in software. Because the resulting runtime environment is completely software based, the software produces what’s called a virtual computer or a virtual machine (M.O., 2012). To simplify, virtualization is the process of running multiple virtual machines on a single physical machine. The virtual machines share the resources of one physical computer, and each virtual machine is its own environment.
...hes should be every three years and software updates fall in line with vendor roadmaps, the reality is actually defined by organizational pace, business needs and, ultimately, budget time is running out for this operating system as there have been tremendous problems resulting from using them. Such issues has call for research to reveals the benefit of upgrading from window Xp and windows 7 to adopt windows 8.in this paper I am going to outline the methods and procedures of upgrading from windows XP and windows 7 successfully to windows 8. Therefore, as it has been seen above, Window migration could be the better option.
The most recent history of our HMI software upgrades has been full of small upgrades, hot fixes (quick patches provided by GE) and changes to minor configuration items on the projects themselves. Recently, spurred by an announcement from Microsoft that Windows NT would soon be unsupported, GM decided it was time to upgrade its servers. The new servers would have Windows 2003 Server and any client or production computer would have Windows 2000. Any SQL Server will run SQL 2000 after the upgrade. The project began as a somewhat simple server hardware and software upgrade and has moved into a full-blown consolidation, network upgrade and server consolidation. From the outset, both EDS and GM have agreed to use a CMMi framework for all actions relating to this upgrade.
For that hardware virtualisation is more beneficial to handle all servers together and provide data from data centre of server to user virtual desktop.
It a company grows more rapidly than predicted, it may experience problems. Anticipating expected and even unexpected growth is crucial to building scalable systems that can support that development. High availability occurs when a system is continuously operational at all times. A highly available enterprise architecture is crucial to current operations because it is convenient for the company to access their systems whenever they want from wherever. If a company was not highly available, it may be challenging for people to access a system because it may prevent some from operating smoothly and slow down growth.
In “Can You Be Educated from a Distance?” by James Barszcz, the author attempts to pinpoint the negative aspects of distance education compared to traditional classrooms. At the beginning of the article, he first describes the basic format of online courses, which results in a vast minimization of face-to-face communication of students with instructors. He then touches on some of the beneficial qualities of online education, and the reasoning for its quickly growing popularity among students and schools alike. He mainly attributes this trend to the overall convenience that is promised to students by online courses. These courses allow students to learn material in the comfort of their own home. Barszcz also considers the financial appeal for universities. Having an increasing number of students enrolled solely in online classes allows schools to save money on electricity, as well as decrease the amount of staff they employ. Also mentioned is that many strong advocates of distance...

Distance learning, sometimes called e-learning, is a formalized teaching and learning system specifically designed to be carried out remotely by using electronic communication. People could find out distance learning on the internet or searching form the school, sometimes teachers would introduce the best or the most credibility distance learning web. Such as class.com and University of Phoenix, etc. Distance learning is less expensive and is not constrained by geographic considerations; it offers opportunities in situations where traditional education has difficulty operating. Students with scheduling or distance problems can benefit, as can employees, because distance education can be more flexible in terms of time and can be delivered virtually anywhere. Under the unified leadership of the distance learning education, the modern distance learning education work gradual increase the number of school has now reached a certain scale. However, not every school or any distance learning education has clear idea for the modern education. Many people have differences understandings and it formed a big deviation. It can be said, for the purpose of developing the distance learning education and the hopes has not formed a consensus, which leads to very often difficult to form in the actual work force.
In the beginning was the word, and the word was written. Some people have described distance education as the use of print or electronic communications media to deliver instruction when teachers and learners are separated in place and/or time(Eastmond, 1995, qtd. in Kerka). Others emphasize distance learning over education, defining it as “getting people - and often video images of people - into the same electronic space so they can help one another learn” (Filipczak, 1995, p. 111 qtd in Kerka), or a “system and process that connects learners with distributed resources” (Filipczak, p. 113). These last two definitions tend to center on the learner and give the learner more control. Given that the teacher evaluation in the state of Texas is now looking toward “Learner centered education”, this will be the emphasis of this research, that distance learning is a system which connects people in order to obtain information or education.
All of our lives, we have gone through school learning with many other students in a classroom, and using books. But what if things were to change? What if instead of getting up to go to school, we simply had to just turn our computers on. Virtual Education is becoming a new way to teach and learn. Using computers, students can interact with other students and instructors, go to a history lecture with people all across the world, and even dissect frogs.
People have a lot of options in educating themselves online in today’s time and technology. Online education has improved a lot in the past twenty years. Even though it has had its setbacks, it continues to show promising results. Online education has many benefits with little to no disadvantages. It provides flexibility in scheduling and offers various options in educational online programs. In the past decade, education has evolved into a more technological-driven world.
Technology has had a large impact on the field of education. The proliferation of multimedia resources and limitless amounts of information available through the Internet has fundamentally affected the learning process. Students no longer search through cards and stacks for magazine articles; almost everything is at the click of a finger. Multimedia resources are increasingly utilized in the classroom to help instruct students. Some professors are making conscious efforts to use new technology, so as to introduce and familiarize their students with it. The significance of technology in education is now being elevated to a new plateau. Education through the Internet, the great equalizer, may make it more widely distributed through the phenomenon of online courses. It is the thesis of this paper that online courses are not an effective means to educate traditional undergraduate college aged students (people from 18-22 years old).
Beside that“… [that] some U.S. states are now requiring young people to take a least one online course during their schooling” (Loertscher, Koechlin 50). The term of the online learning, it is demonstrated through some software have been provided by private cooperation to schools. These software such as Blackboard, Webex. Litmos, and others. Therefore, the online learning has become more available and reliable because of the technology development in the 21st century inspire of technology. When it comes to the online learning been provided by the schools and other educational institutes some argued that, it will reduce the education cost, saves time, and provide more quality of the learning, but other said it will not make any differences and lower the quality of
