Equality of color-Sojourner Truth We as a whole have an alternate assessment on individuals whether they are dark, asian, white, center eastern or any race. Equality has a wider range of point of view on who sees this. People criticize political culture and economic views on race. In the poem, Sojourner Truth: “Ain’t I A Woman”, Sojourner says in line 6 “ Nobody ever helps me into a carriages, or over mud puddles… best place!” She wonders why she is treated differently. Why she does not have the same rights as the whites. Being treated differently makes you feel like an outsider. Take the incident back in 2001. The twin tower crash. Sojourner Truth wonders why she is being treated for what she is or what she believes in. She wonders why white women are given more privileged than colored. Truth says, “Nobody ever helps me into carriages...or gives me any best place.” By this sentence she means she has never been given rights as the white females. She was treated differently than the other people. She wonders why she can not have the same rights/ privileged as the other people. She is angry for the way she is getting treated. The struggles she as put in did not give her any rights either.In line 8 Truth says, “I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me.” She hassled so much in her past that she wonders why she does not receive any respect.Being treated differently even for a little reason make you think twice for what you do or what you believe in. Truth says in line 11,”I have borne thirteen children, and seen most all sold...none but jesus heard me.” Through the struggle Truth was put into she still did not earn the respect as the mans. She is heartbroken when her children are being sold to slavery and she can not do anything about
