Equal Rights, it’s the American way America was built on the thought of freedom, that anyone could come here and be whomever he or she wanted and do whatever they wanted. However, this standard doesn’t seem to stand still since gay couples are not allowed to fully express this. They are refused the right to marry the one they love, they do not get to participate in one of the most sacred traditions we have. This should change and allow them to marry whomever they please. There are already 33 states that have legalized this right, and there are many others who are recognize it. Society would apparently change and then the morality of marriage changes. This also leads to the last counterargument that children need both parents. This is true, children desereve two parents, however not always a mother and a father. In same sex couples neither parent would be related to the child, and the child would lose one side that they needed, either the mother or the father (10 Reasons Why Homosexual). However, there are many ways that a parent could be related to their child even in same sex couple marriages. In conclusion, gay marriage should be allowed because of how marriage can be defined, whom the marriage would affect and also the benefits from marriage. Even with the countless counterarguments gay marriage is inventible and we are paving are way to totally legalization
