Grape soda and Epsom salt, who knew these two items, would lead up to one of the funniest, most embarrassing moments of my life. My basketball team pulled out and very important win, a win that would send us into the state tournament. On the way home, I asked my mom to stop by the store to get me some Epsom salt for my recovery soak. I walked into the store, grabbed the Epsom salt along with a grape soda. For some reason, the store was a little busy, and I stood in line for a short time. Finally, it was my turn to checkout. I leaned over to set my items on the counter and POP! There it was, hanging out of the top of my shirt for all to see, in front of me, the cashier, and the line of people behind me. I am not sure how it happened
On Wednesday, February 15th, I was able to have the opportunity to listen to Andrew Lipman. Andrew Lipman is the author of The Saltwater Frontier: Indians and the Contest for the American Coast. In the novel, he explained the life of Native Americans living in New England and on the coast of Long Island. During this time, most individuals relied on trading natural resources. In order for profit for the resources, the colonists and Native Americans used wampum. Wampum was used as a sacred gift in Native American culture as a peace offering, funerals and marriages. Colonialists had an advantage towards using wampum. They used beads as a commodity for furs. Native Americans relied on canoes for transportation. Canoes can hold up to fifty people.
Based on our observations during the separation techniques and some speculation, we were able to identify eight components of our mixture: graphite from the filtration residue, Epsom salt from crystallization, water and acetic acid through distillation, red and orange dye, iron metal, marble chips, and sand.

There are four protagonists Emilia, Joana, Alfred, and Florian who go on a fatal journey through Germany to the Wilhelm Gustloff. The Wilhelm Gustloff was built to carry 1,462 passengers, but by the time they were done boarding there were 10,582 people on board. At 9:15pm, the ship was struck by three torpedoes in the bottom deck. As their ship to freedom was sinking, many begged to get on a lifeboat. Many people changed and became brave while others became desperate. One summer day on May 23, 2014, I was in the kitchen all day trying to find a way to keep my little brother, and dad from stealing my peach rings. Peach rings are these gummy like candies that tasted of peach with this really yummy sugar on them. But everytime that I get to get a bag of them they are gone in the first few minutes I have them. So I came up with this genius idea to put raw spam in my peach rings so that no one would eat them. Because everyone in my family hates spam. So one day when my parents were at work I quickly had to figure out a way to put the spam in the peach rings so they won’t eat them. Then it happened I could make peach rings with raw spam in them so my family will stop eating all of them.
If we put the potatoes in different concentrations of seawater (0%, .4%, .8%, 1.2%, 1.6%, and 2%) then the potato put in the highest concentration of seawater (2%) will begin to discolor and fall apart while the potato put in the lowest (0%) concentration of seawater won’t discolor and fall apart because the seawater with the 2% concentration will diffuse into the potato causing it to break down and discolor faster than the potato in the lower concentration of seawater.

When I was a little girl my mother would make us Coke cola floats instead of Root Beer floats due to the fact I do not like Root Beer. The smell and taste, is unbearable for me, due to this fact I refuse to drink this beverage, although my husband loves it. I have asked my mother why I dislike root beer and she explained to me that when I was small, I tried Root Beer and it made me sick. Till this day I refuse to be around anyone who is drinking root beer, it sad to know someone could hate a beverage as much I as I hate root beer, but it happens.
Electrical conductivity refers to a substances ability to carry moving electrons (conduct electricity). In order to do so, there must be a supply of delocalised electrons. While in a solid state, ionic substances can not conduct electricity as there are no delocalised electrons or free/mobile ions to act as charge carriers. In an aqueous ionic solution, the H2O molecules break apart the crystal lattice structure of the ionic substance into individual ions, surrounding each ion in a jacket of hydration. The actual, theoretical, and percent yield of sodium chloride was found. Sodium Carbonate was mixed with hydrochloric acid and the liquid was boiled until there was nothing left. The result was the production of salt, or sodium chloride.
