I will research how mechatronics and engineering are used in the real world at PTI. What are engineers and what do they do? According to The Merriam Webster Dictionary an engineer is “1: a member of a military unit specializing in engineering work. 2: a designer or builder of engines. 3: one trained in engineering. 4: one that operates an engine.” That isn’t very helpful, so I will use this essay to explain what they do.
“Most engineers specialize… ...Numerous other specialties are recognized by professional societies, and each of the major branches of engineering has numerous subdivisions. Civil engineering, for example, includes structural and transportation engineering, and materials engineering includes ceramic, metallurgical, and polymer engineering. Engineers also may specialize in one industry, such as motor vehicles, or in one type of technology, such as turbines or semiconductor materials.” (5)
Agricultural engineers try to better agriculture and the efficient use of biological resources. They design agricultural machinery, equipment, sensors, processes, and structures, such as those used for crop storage. Agricultural engineers conserve soil, conserve water, and improve the processing of agricultural products. Agricultural engineers often work in research and development, production, sales, or

Many do research to develop and evaluate systems. They also assist in research and production for artificial organs, prostheses, health management and care delivery systems, medical information systems, and measuring instruments. Biomedical engineers may also design various medical devices used in procedures. Some specialties within biomedical engineering are biomaterials, biomechanics, medical imaging, rehabilitation engineering, and orthopedic
Biomedical engineering supports devices used in direct patient support services. Tasks include calibrating machines and replacing and testing batteries used in the equipment.
Biomedical engineering is a branch of science that connects engineering sciences with biological sciences that started around the 1940s (Citron & Nerem, 2004). Biomedical engineering is the discipline that promotes learning in engineering, biology, chemistry, and medicine. The objective for biomedical engineers is to enhance human health by incorporating engineering and biomedical sciences to solve problems. Some of the accomplishments made from biomedical engineering are prosthetics, robotic and laser surgery, implanted devices, imaging devices, nanotheranostics and artificial intelligence. As we head towards the future, biomedical engineering is anticipated to become an even greater part of the medical industry and bring about innovating
Agriculture—it’s something that not very many people know much about. However, it is important for us to survive. Almost everything in our everyday lives is agriculture-related, from the food you eat to the clothes you wear.
The agricultural industry is very important because it provides large companies with the raw materials for their manufacturing of new products that are of good use to us today. From the food we eat to the clothes we wear, we owe it all to the field of farming. We can eat fresh and raw food with the help of the farmers who have worked their way in their lands. Our basic needs are being replenished by what we get from the products of agriculture. Due to the advent of science and technology and the progress of the intellect of humans, farm machinery is now being used in vast agricultural land.
Engineering and technology as people think is not the easy area of study, but it is always demanded the most in the future because that field is not everyone’s cup of tea, and you need to have a very good focus and time management planning skills for that. You always stand different in the crowd if you can work and make a career in that particular field.
According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, biomedical engineers “develop devices and procedures that solve medical and health-related problems by combining their knowledge of biology and medicine with engineering principles and practices.” Biomedical engineers are expected to have employment growth of 72 percent over the projections decade, much faster than the average for all occupations. The employment growth is very high even compared to other engineers.
There are various types of engineering that make the world the way it is. The engineering field is a huge necessity to the world. The field provides a sense of infrastructure and stability to anywhere and everywhere, and without engineers, the world would pretty much fall apart. Lots of people assume that engineering only has to deal with the environment and the external structures that make up where we live, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Other types of engineering include the makeup of the body, and the function of the specific internal organs. This is when we land on the field of biomechanics. The purpose of biomechanics is to study the function and the movement of the human body. This engineering field is very important because
The word engineer comes from the latin word ingeniare. ingeniare means construct or craftsmanship. Ever since the beginning of time we have had engineers. Engineering is the combination of math and science , solving world problems to help better the world around us. Being an engineer takes a lot of knowledge, creativity, and hard work. A typical engineer can clearly see a problem and is capable of fining a solution. A senior engineer or engineering manager usually doesnt do as much technical work, but usally lot of managing. Some of the first official engineers were military engineers. They were employed by the goverment to build such things as roads, bridges, and weapons. US mililary Academy at Westpoint was the first school to offer an education in enginnering. Engineering is a very broad field. Engineers are always at a high demand, we could never have enough brilliant minds making the world better. Engineers are needed everywhere. Engineering managers have to have a bachelor's degree or higher, they usually direct and seek solutions to problems and are sometimes called executi...
Engineers are valuable assets to any company because they think analytically. Engineers may advance to become technical specialists or to supervise a staff or team of engineers and technicians. Some eventually become engineering managers or enter other managerial or sales jobs.
The development of more sustainable means of agriculture not only plays an important role but also requires the development of large quantities of essential food under the most demanding conditions .When the science technology is strongly developing, the agricultural has increasingly expanded, modernization for the need of food. In the developed countries like United States, England, Australia, and Japan, etc, they have the best agricultural education and have a developed agriculture. Agriculture engineers must have a bachelor’s degree or have a master’s or doctor degree to move forward to higher positions, and get well pay because they might work overtime a lots. Besides, the US government also provides agriculture engineers with effective agricultural support policies, with special attention to the sustainability of the agricultural workforce.
Electrical Engineers research, develop, design, and test electronic components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications (Cosgrove 749). They are concerned with devices that use small amounts of electricity that make up electronic components such as integrated circuits and microprocessors. By applying principles and techniques of electronic engineering they design, develop, and manufacture products such as computers, telephones, radios, and stereo systems (EGOE, 121). Electrical engineers touch everyone lives through the things they have designed or created. Electrical engineers have invented the lights in your house, the television, the stereo, the telephone, computers, and even your doctor’s blood pressure gauge (Stine 300).
Engineering is the application of scientific, economic design and a wide range of other specialized fields of engineering. As an engineer, there are four major different areas of engineering work that I can concern about, that is chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Beyond this four, sources separate to other main branches. Based on the electrical engineering is concerned with the basic forms of energy that run the world, there is a hopeful future in taking this major as my direction of future. However, what exactly is the benefit of this major; am I suppose to choose this major; what kinds of job opportunities that I am able to get and various of other questions are what I concerned the most.
I want you to think back to what might be the greatest invention ever. Dependant upon how well you know your history you could possibly say the wheel, the car, the airplane, the television, the autonomous robot. All of these are great ideas that have different eras in history, but they all have something in common, these creations were all invented by engineers. Do not get the misconception that engineers have been around since the dawn of time but the concept of engineering itself has. Those great revolutionaries all had ideas and solved problems which are still qualities that engineers of this day and age use. Webster defines engineering as, “the work of designing and creating large structures or new products or systems by using scientific methods.” Those people created new products so they would today be considered engineers, but they are slightly different. What makes them different is the field that they would be considered a part of. The broadest one of the oldest forms is mechanical engineering, which is my future profession.
Depending on the particular field of engineering, engineers might find themselves testing, maintaining, and using computers to design products. Other engineers, however, might find themselves on construction sites, monitoring, directing, and solving issues on-site. A license in engineering is required for an engineer who offers their services to the public, obtained by passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam after graduating from college as well as the Principles and Practicing of Engineering exam after enough work experience is gained. Similarly, a US citizenship is almost always required for an engineer working for the federal government (“Engineers”).
In the most basic sense, engineering means “making things happen.” It is the practical application of science and math, the two subjects I am most passionate about, to solve everyday problems. It opens up a world of opportunity to create innovative technology that influences many aspects of people’s lives, this giving an individual the power to make a difference. While I am deeply interested in the subjects that are the foundation of engineering, in addition I have many other personal reasons for pursuing civil engineering in specific. I am motivated by my desire to fulfill my lifelong goal of creating purposeful infrastructure, to make all of my family proud, and to prove that not all engineers
