Recommended: Impact of extracurricular activities on kids

Candy, it tastes good but it is bad for the teeth. Medicine, it tastes horrible but it does good for the body. Both items show off good and bad features. The clubs in Centennial Christian School, or CCS for short, also have their good and bad. Using rhetorical strategies it is evident that there are flaws in these clubs but the students and teachers are able to overcome using theirs strengths. It is the students that make up the clubs and not the clubs themselves because of the background CCS carries.
Centennial Christian School is a small international school located in Seoul, South Korea. The school is on top of a hill through a series of slopes. The school is also just one building with 6 flights of stairs but not enough classrooms. Each class has an average of 15 students with the largest being 21. Students mostly come to school riding public transportation and or through the limited transportation the school provides.
There are 4 clubs in CCS; the sports club, the music club, the debate club, and the student council with 3 of the clubs having their own sub groups. The sports club has the volleyball team, basketball team, and the soccer team. The debate club has the debate team and the public speaking team. The student council has the student government and the National Honor Society.
The sports club is CCS’ most competitive club. This club has brought CCS many titles as well as making legends with the KAIAC sports league. Despite the many achievements CCS faced many difficulties. Centennial Christian School does not own a gym, and therefore it makes practice difficult. Having many of the basic equipment such as balls and weights make it possible to practice basic training however the real problem lies with the facilities. ...

...hool, there are many differences. YISS has a gym and field where all sports can be practiced whereas CCS does not. YISS has many students willing to join the Debate club whereas CCS use many of the same students for different debate tournaments. YISS has more resources and equipment than CCS does when it come to the Music club. However what YISS loses to CCS is the Student Council. YISS has many students so it would be natural for them to not know what many of the students want or need. CCS is a smaller school and can therefore hear all the needs of the students.
Centennial Christian School maybe a small school and have many disadvantages in its clubs, but the students make up for it. They pour in extra effort just to succeed, and the results show in the end. There are many things that could be fixed in each club individually but for a small school, CCS does well.
