Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card, is a military science fiction novel written in January 1865. The novel is written in 3rd person through the point of view Ender. Set in 2070, the novel sets a jeopardized humanity after 2 warfares with an alien species known as "The Buggers." In precaution of another attack, Ender Wiggins, the protagonist of the story, is trained at a young age where he will eventually put his military tactics into action. Ender's Game is about a war in progress, requiring the help from endowed soldiers to lead them to victory from an alien invasion by a race known as the "Buggers." This is the reason why Colonel Hyrum Graff, the head of the Battle School, is executing a arduous screening on children to send to Battle School to prepare them for war in the ambiguous reaches of space. Six-year-old Andrew "Ender" Wiggin comes into this incessant pressure of military training, where he strives to keep his humanity as everyone at his Battle School endanger either to obliterate him or turn him into someone he cannot imagine to be. Colonel Graff tell Ender that, "Human Beings are free except when humanity needs them. Maybe humanity needs you...We might both do despicable thing, Ender, but if humankind survives, then we were good tools.(35)" This is essentially the philosophy which Graff if explaining to Ender that adults will manipulate children constantly. This philosophy defends making appalling sacrifices for the good of the species, which is what the Battle School believes. Ender's incredible knowledge bring on to the top of the extremely aggressive games in the Battle Room, where he also defeats his old commander. Colonel Graff then takes him to Command School, where Mazer Rackham, the person who defeated the Bug... ... middle of paper ... ...on, and then made a final move. This is what made him a success in Battle School, and during the "invasion." The idea of working as a team, especially seem in the invasion, is seem in the novel where Ender's friends support him in the backline during the invasion, making it a success. The entire plot of the novel satisfied me and brought my attention. I love reading books about science-fiction and this book did not let me down. This novel also had many different lessons that I learned that could affect my life, even if it is as simple as working as a team, or never up. The small details and the plot really made leaning something a different experience. I am usually not a strong reader, but this book helped me realize that it just takes one small action to learn and undergo a who different sensation. This book grabbed my attention and did not let go until the end.
