Maka stood beside the bed, taking a deep breath. Emmie was dead asleep, if she didn't get up soon, they'd be late. "Emmieeee! Get UP!" she finally yelled, shacking her shoulders. "Huh! Whut?" Emmie said, opening her eyes. "We're going to be late for school. Hurry up!" Maka said, glad she had forced Emmie to take a shower last night incase this came up. "I thought I still was going though remediation classes," Emmie said, yawning. "No, you finished them yesterday, and since my dad knows Lord Death pretty well, he got your information to him just in time. You're officially a student at the DWMA!" Maka said, smiling at the thought. Emmie had come to live with them just after the last school year had ended and spent the summer with them, taking classes to catch up with the other students who had been training since they where little. Emmie took to it like a fish to water, honestly, in arts, math, and sciences she even surpassed Maka's abilities. She still was behind on her soul abilities, her only teacher of those had been her mother, and while similar, a weapons soul is different from a meisters. "Alright then," Emmie said, pulling on her shoes. She grabbed the backpack she had been using for her remediation classes, hopeful it would work for school as well, "Why are you in such a rush, school doesn't start till 7, right?" "Yes, but Kid and Black Star show up early, Kid at 6:30 usually. I like to talk with them before school starts. Hey, you'll finally meet Kid and Black Star," Maka said, leading Emmie out of the house. "So where's your dad?" Emmie asked, walking beside Maka. "He's kind of faculty you could say. He works with Lord Death, that's why we were able to get you signed up so quickly. He doesn't have to show up early, but h... ... middle of paper ... ...usualy early lunch?" Emmie asked. "The first lunch of the day is usualy resurved for the younger classes. I begged though to be allowed to have the first lunch. You see, in the morning I have homeroom, first, second, and third classes, which is excatly 2 hours. Then lunch, technically fourth, then fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth. Excatly two hours both before and after lunch," Kid said, smiling, and Emmie realized that they hadn't been lying when they were talking about him liking symmetry. "Anyway, homerooms almost over, I'll show you where your locker is, then head to the first class of the day," Kid said, checking the time as they walked past a classroom. "Alright then, let's go," Emmie said, smiling at him. He smiled at her, his eyes smiling at them and she felt a shiver though her, woundering if she really was getting a crush on Kid on her first day at school.
H - “Yeahhhhh, well mom said she might be able to sign me up for school in fall, so I would only end up missing one year. But I would really like to see you D.B., can you come next weekend for sure?”
Every student in all grades were able to leave during the time a scheduled class did not occupy. (Saslow, Linda. “Schools split on “open campus” NYtimes.com). Open campus lunch is the allowance of high school students to leave off the premises to a local restaurant for the duration of lunch. School districts in America have opposed open campus lunch benefits due to common knowledge and concern for potential student endangerment. A reason why schools should change educational environment would be to accommodate what students’ need to create comfortable working conditions. Old school methods included the repetitive process of helping students through daily material every day of the week with one break. Off campus school lunch was an unknown factor to high schools back
“W-what day is today?” She slowly got up but then rushed out of the room.
At that moment, Lauren walked into the room and smiled softly. “Time to go.” “Is everyone all packed up?”
The baby kicked again and Krista winced. She adjusted her position on the bed, letting the discomfort subside. After a moment she said, “Tell me again why you would quit?”
“Yeah,” I said. “We should probably get some sleep if we’re gonna get out of the city tomorrow.”
“Just go to bed; we need to wake up early,” she said as she stood up and left for her bedroom.
“We should be fine. We need to hurry to the Halloween party before it's over.” replied Addison.
"All of you are late and will be sent to detention later", he said with his annoying voice. I rolled my eyes.
After I got done eating at the subway Tyler asked, ¨Hey, did your mom say if its ok for you to go to a Pacesetter? Since we are ready and about to leave soon.¨
“So, was 9th grade what you expected it to be?”, Sara, her best friend, asked during lunch.
"Well, I have a few things to do today. I'll probably be done by 3 pm, So how does 3:30 pm sound, Candy is going to pick up the kids at mom's around 3 pm, that way we can have privacy," she informed Rachel. "We can meet here, and drive from here."
“Som, wake up! Hurry and pack your stuff we need to go!” his mother yelled. He sat up in his bed and listened to her feet quickly hitting the floorboards as she hurried away before
“Ok then, we will meet here at school, pack up the car and get going,” Said Sophie.
“Whatever,” I continued “I’m late for class. Forget about the plans going to be library at lunch” getting out of my car and slamming the door so I could hear the bleep noise to lock.
