The old-traditional way of life has vanished for ever. Today only villages and some small towns remind us of this kind of life, and as time passes, more people choose to abandon traditional way of life, to move to the “big city”. Modern way of life has nothing in common with the traditional one. Human habits, values, norms have changed. The most important of these social changes can be observed in human relationships, family economy, education, government, health, and religion. To be able to examine these changes, one has to compare traditional and modern way of life.
In traditional societies, to begin with, there is a strong fellow-feeling; everybody is considered a friend and is expected to act this way, in case of personal or family crisis. In every-day life one would be happy to lend his neighbour anything he is asked without expecting anything in return. This fellow-feeling does not exist in modern cities, where the general rule taught to city-people when they are still children is: trust no one. The size and density of population, anonymity and high rate of criminality may be responsible for this kind of behaviour. Despite the fact that each city group chooses to behave this way for different reasons, the result will always be the same (Gans: 235-237).
In addition to the change in human behaviour towards people outside his family, there is change in family life as well. The extended family providing all means of socialization and economic production, became nuclear, ...

The Caribbean has been an unexplained region throughout the test of time because there are many different depictions of what actually is happening. The ranging cultures in the Caribbean bring about many different points of view. A perfect example is how Cliff, Mintz, and Benitez-Rojo describe their version of the Caribbean. They discuss affairs in the Caribbean from the days of slave trading to present day issues. In analyzing their anecdotes and books, one can find not only similarities between them, but discrepancies as well. All three authors express their thoughts vividly, unleashing ideas about the Caribbean. Among the most important themes of these ideas were that of the plantation, identity, and social hierarchy.
Religion is one of the oldest and most sacred things in history. It was passed down for generations both orally and in writing. Religion started off as a very simple belief in an afterlife. Over time it became more complex and began to include deities and rituals. Each area of the world developed its own beliefs and practices, but two religions that are very similar and yet vastly different are Islam and Christianity. These two religions are the biggest religions in the world with a combined total of approximately 3.4 billion followers. Their similarities and differences can be seen in how their religious books were put together and their beliefs and practices.
Christian and Islam are the most prominent world religions that are being practiced nearly on every continent around the earth. Christianity is a form of religion that took its name from a word that is used to describe Jesus. This word is a Greek word that is Christ and in Hebrew it is the same as the statement messiah which means the anointed one. Islam also is a form of religion whose its followers are called Muslims. The word Islam means submission that signifies the obedience to the ruler. How different are families compared to the past? Lately there has been some major changes in relationships, weather female dominance, or even just having no relationships at all. We also see that relationships are based only on a basis of reproduction and sometimes the child of the relationship is rather irrelevant. In a Temporary matter by Jhumpa Lahiri, the reader can see how relationships have developed with the rest of the world into failing, no relationship, and feminist relationships.
The selection of contemporary leader book was challenging at first, however after considering the attributes and qualities of different leadership styles Steve Jobs: Ten lessons in leadership written by Michael Essany was the best choice. This book discussed what can be learned as a leader and the lessons are relevant to my own leadership style. There is a direct relationship of the lessons and Steve Jobs’ leadership style identified including wait for nothing, fail big or don’t bother failing, limit your confidence to your field, there’s no substitute for passion, consider your legacy before you have one, and there’s always ‘one more thing’ (Essany, 2012). The lessons illustrated that Steve Jobs was progressive in his thinking and relentless to develop technological advancements that consumers could not live without. Therefore, Steve Jobs leadership style was influential and other entrepreneurs need to utilize these lessons in pursuit of similar success.

In our present society, people cannot deny that the changes in this world have been tied to the advancement of the technology. It has evolved with this society so deeply where such conveniences are no longer luxuries but rather necessities. Unfortunately, the most affected group of people from the developed technology is the younger age people (Subrahmanyam, 2000). In the past, children were more lively and active: playing outdoors, running around, climbing trees and remaining active rather than watching television and playing video game and computer. It is true that the use of the technology has its own virtue. It provides value, convenience and entertainment, but it should not take the place of movement and realistic play from the children. Obviously, modern technology such as television, digital game, cell phone, and computer should be considered as a major fact, which contributing to negative health problems in children.
Although Islam and Christianity are two different religions they have many things in common and the differences they do have are also similar. Both religions believe that there is one god in the universe and they also each have similar prophets that they believe in. Muslims believe in their god referred to as Allah and one prophet that they as a religion believe in named Mohammad while Christians believe in their god that they refer to as God and prophets such as John the Baptist along with other prophets that the Islam faith, along with others, believe in as well. Each Islam and Christianity also have a book or guide that they use in their religions for teaching their faith. It has a set of “rules” that they are supposed to follow and includes rituals that believers should take part in. Christians look to the bible for prayer and Muslims look to the Qu’ran. For those
Technology is unavoidable in our modern lifestyle. You wake up, you use technology; you use technology while cooking, while eating, while driving. While you’re lying in bed before you fall asleep, you use technology, technology wakes you up in the morning. Is all the technology around you good for you, or is it harmful to your health? Was our society healthier or safer before all the advancements? So many questions and concerns about all of the technology we crave, but there are very few people who know the answers. Technology affects all parts of human life. It can create jobs, motivate people to get active, and assist people in learning, but this does not balance out that there are dangers that follow the use of technology.
By imposing new rules to societies that means they have to leave their tradition and adapt the new rules that has imposed by modernization theory, for example this theory suggested that, people may still have their traditions but they are not slaves to them and will challenge any that seem unnecessary or get in the way of continued cultural progress( that is they do not suffer from rationalism), and kinship has a very much less important role in all areas of society (even within the family) because of the for geographical and social mobility which weakens family ties, also one’s position in the economy, polity and so on., is earned through hard work and high achievement- motivation and not determine by the kinship. In Nepal, I experienced both the progressive style of family living and the older medieval style where custom and tradition count first no matter what. More than 90% of the people in Nepal who were born between 1978 and 1998 (the Generation Y youth) still live in old medieval-style families where cultural rules govern everyday life. The people of Nepal are socially segmented along lines of caste, sub-caste and ethnicity, and values and traditions also differ from one caste to another.
Nowadays, we lived in the globalization era where technologies are really essential. Foremost, the wide spreading of globalization influences the human life rapidly. In addition, there are not immortal things in this world, where everything will change. Even though we cannot see the development of the life but we can feel it. It also occurs in the groove of the people live from one generation to the other generations. Each generation faces different issues based on the environmental conditions. As the time goes on, the problems that we will face are more complicated than before. It illustrates, our parents’ generation is never the same as our generation but it is a good
