Global Warming is a condition caused by greenhouse gases and human activities. The increased concentration of greenhouse gases due to activities such as deforestation and fossil fuel burning is causing the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans to warm up. As a result of this, global warming has some serious effects in the shape of extreme weather, species extinctions, and rising sea levels. These effects can contribute to the changes that are taking place all over the world, most of which are dangerous enough to pose a threat to the survival of life on Earth in the future. Of all the effects of global warming, the extreme weather that is taking place all over the world is the most obvious one.
The human ecological footprint has grown so much over the past few years that it is almost irreversible if not changed quickly. Climate change is the most important threat to the Earth and many factors lead are to blame, fossil fuels, greenhouse gases, and carbon dioxide. It would although be ignorant to say that man has nothing to do with it, as the population increases, the need for natural resources, use of more fossil fuels, more waste is produced, the is more pollution which leads to the ozone depletion causing global warming and essentially climate change overall. Since man has the ability to cause such harm to the Earth, man should change their ways to reverse the damage. Global Warming, which is one of the climatic changes, is in the Earth’s upper atmosphere caused from the burning of fossil fuels, farming, defo... ... middle of paper ... ...nd help their planet.
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature all over the earth. Global Warming is a major problem in the world today and is argued among all of the world leaders. I am going to talk about how the global warming crisis is being caused. Also, what the people of the world can do to stop the acceleration of the global warming. There are people in the world that believe that there is another reason why this is happening; earth is experiencing a natural cycle of evolution.
(Ed. Debra A. Miller). Abnormal change in temperature can led to extreme temperatures that can cause death. Furthermore, sudden changes in the climate system caused by global warming can trigger dangerous storm, flooding, and many other natural catastrophic event. Overloading carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which was mainly caused by human activities such as burning of fossil fuel and destructing forests, trap excessive heat, and in turn causing the earth’s temperature increase dramatically.
"The Larsen B ice shelf… has shattered and separated from the continent as a result of warming." (USA TODAY, 1) As the global temperature steadily rises so do the results of this global heat wave, impacting the environment. Ice which has remained frozen for 100’s of thousands of years has begun to melt, and break off into the ocean. Once separated from the ice shelf it is only a matter of time before the ice is reverted back to water, causing a rise in global sea levels. The end result of this melt is costal flooding as the sea level rises beyond its natural barriers, and spills into areas below our current sea level.
Global warming is a war that we should not get involved with because we will lose if changes aren’t made soon. Global warming is the rapid increase in earth’s average surface temperature over the past century due to the fact that greenhouse gases are being released into the atmosphere increasing the earth’s average temperature (EarthObservatory.NASA.org). There are many contributing factors that play a role into the cause of global warming. Greenhouse gasses are gasses such as Carbon Dioxide, Methane, Nitrous Oxide, and F-gasses that trap heat in the atmosphere. The heat that is trapped in the earth’s atmosphere is a slowly melting glaciers, cause sea levels to rise and is messing with the weather patterns.
Global warming is caused by pollution eating away at the ozone layer of the atmosphere, as well as greenhouse gases trapping heat. The global average surface temperature rose 0.6 to 0.9 degrees Celsius (1.1 to 1.6° F) between 1906 and 2005, and the rate of temperature increase has nearly doubled in the last 50 years. (Riebeek 2) Many scientists believe that the effects of global warming will greatly impact the planet. Direct effect of Global Warming is increased heat on Earth then it will cause ice on poles to melt, leading to rising sea levels and land loss, because many areas will be under water. Besides that, many events of catastrophic weather will occur, such as droughts, floods, volcanic, tsunamis and earthquake.
Global warming is a huge global issue concerning millions of people across the globe. Global warming is primarily caused by the emission of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. These gasses are causing the Earth’s atmosphere to become thinner which, in return, causes an increase in temperature throughout the world. Although, most people believe that climate change is a natural phenomenon, others believe that humans are playing a huge roll in the increase of global warming. The effects of global warming are caused by a number of different things.
Global warming creates one main problem, which causes several other problems to stem from it. As the greenhouse gases trap and hold the heat in the atmosphere, it creates a negative impact on the climate worldwide. The majority of the world’s temperatures have increased noticeably, but in the Arctic, the temperature has risen significantly. “Recent climate change has been especially pronounce in the Arctic region, with surface temperatures rising two to four times faster than that of the global average” (Screen and Simmons). Global Warming and its Effects Just as we think our atmosphere might be getting better we realize that its getting worse due to global warming and we just happen to realize it now. There are many different reasons to why and how global warming is happening, but the main reason of global warming is the Greenhouse effect. Greenhouse effect is when the atmosphere of the Earth traps some of the heat coming from the sun. This happens due to burning fuels, cutting trees, and the concentration of heat on the Earth. There are many other causes to global warming such as air pollution, Melting of the Glaciers, Human Activities and even Industrial Advancement that have affected climate change.
