If there is one thing that everyone has in common in this world, it would be social media. The rise of social media does not only give people the right and the privilege to view anybody personal information, but also endanger people. Social media is something everybody is familiar with and engages on a daily basis. This article gives a different approach from the other three articles as the authors thinks that social media is helpful in the health profession rather than causing it harm The authors use their knowledge and research to inform doctors, medical students and the health patients on how social media can facilitate the achievement of clinical excellence and if social media really helps or causes harm in a hospital environment. Samantha Bowden is a teacher at King 's College London and Tabor flickinger works at the Department of General Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. The fact that both of the authors teach medical school at very big known colleges makes them reliable and trustworthy to write about this topic. The article is published by the Clinical teachers which the article more useful and trustworthy because it is a source frequently used by those in the Medical. This article will be useful to me because it gives me a different approach from the other three articles. The fact that the article has a different approach than the other articles will help me in developing a better argument because I can argue in both ways. It is important for employees to know how to social network in order to allow companies to connect with each other. Social media can be beneficial for healthcare providers because it builds communities among other healthcare employers with employees, staff, patients and programs as they can discuss strategies and can also be a good tool for marketing. Risks from using social media include issues in terms of privacy if not used correctly. Patient information cannot be posted and must be withheld in a proper manner. Employers run the risk of having their company be seen poorly. In order for the benefits of social media to outweigh the risks, companies should take certain steps. They must first assemble a strong team of people and must discuss the use of social media in terms of different perspectives. They must set regulations and limitations such as limited use of the internet at work. They must create a policy that is adaptable to the current generation as well as future generations and must train all employees to be aware of this policy that will help health care providers as well as employees and patients.

Public Health has many different sections of information regarding the community and individuals; the first two sections that I have examined are the Principles of Population Health and the Tools of Population Health. Within the two sections I was able to gather an understanding of both, but after reading I was left with a question. In regards to public health, can excessive use of social media contribute to addictive behaviors or mental health issues? As I look back on my notes I realized that there are many possibilities that can link what I have read and what I have experienced in my life together to this problem.

Yet now, so much time is spent on these social sites that it has warped the interactive part and is causing more damage than good. Many are growing a desire and are living for the amount of “likes” they can receive on a post or how many re-tweets they can generate. Instead of going to these outlets to participate in a partial portion of their social lives, people are filling that time with the technological aspect of communication. As White said, this can become an inordinate amount of wasted time and can ultimately grow into further damaging circumstances. These different social media channels can cause emotional harm through disparaging the relationship between friends, conjuring of a narcissistic personality, and the retrogradation of ones self-esteem.
