People are so attached to their phones, the first thing most people do once they wake up is check their phone for notifications. At family dinners, people no longer try to talk to each other. Instead of trying to create bonds with one another, everyone is glued to their phones, not saying a word to each other. Also, when driving, many people use their smartphones to talk. That is not the most smart decision, since using the phone while driving has lead to many accidents, and even death. The young generation of kids are loosing their enjoyment of being a child by being consumed by smartphones. Rather than going to play hide-and-seek outside or cops and robbers with their neighborhood friends, like most young kids should be doing, kids are downloading the newest game apps and trying to get a new Flappy Bird high score. Also, many parents are no longer punishing their kids by not letting them go outside. Instead parents take away their smartphones, IPads and any other smart devices. That goes to prove that kids find more enjoyment in playing with a smartphone, instead of playing outside with their friends and having some real fun. The one thing most kids do stay away from is social

With improvements in technology, it is no surprise that people everywhere are connected with each other all over the world. The newest technologies of today are only continuing to improve, as they are becoming more widespread every day. Smartphones, which are a broad part of this technological craze, are sweeping the nation into the hands of teenagers today, many preferring to use them instead of socializing with people face to face. These improvements, however, come with consequences. Smartphones are destroying a generation by causing the teenagers today to be more stressed, anxious, and depressed.
Christmas time, when the weather changes, family visits, memories are made and Christmas list are filled, at least that is how it used to be. Each decade brings about a new generation that will repeat trends, transform and also innovative new ways and uses of the basics. Children often make request to love ones during the holidays, ranging from the must have toy to the latest fashion trends. While adults have outgrown list, wishes are never few as desires for lavish vacations, cars or visit from distant family or friends. In life there are wants and needs which create a desire and keep us pushing, connecting and evolving.
Clearly, smartphones can make a lot of things easier in some way; however, "they are the source of gross distraction and rude behavior". This claim is stated directly from the article. It is well known that smartphones improve everyone’s life. They not only give us support every second but also prevent us from being bored to death. Yet some neglect these benefits and argue that smartphones can ruin our social life, and that we should decrease our smartphone usage. In some rare occasions what they say can happen to sound convincing. However, we strongly recommend that you let it go through one ear and out the other ear. You should even try to be benevolent and help the minority of the population advance. Here are some reasons why:
Cell phones have crept into an owner’s possession at all times. “The mobile phone has become a part of us: our best friend who will save all our secrets, pleasures and sorrows” ("Exploring"). Teens have developed the need to know the latest news on social media every minute of every day; they do not want to miss any little detail. Since the beginning of smart phones, high school students have felt the need to have their media open on their smart phone in front of them so they do not feel empty. Once someone has become attached or addicted to something, it is hard to change their habits. Cell phones have changed people socially, especially with the availability to social media with electronics.
Teachers are finding it harder and harder to separate a student from their cell phones for eight hours. Cellular devices and social media have become a number one priority for many people across the world. Due to the fact that the student will not put down their phones during school hours, their grades tend to be lower, which could, in the long run, affect their chances of getting into college. The use of cell phones does not strictly affect younger generations, it also had major influence on adults at the
Today’s society accepted phones so fast and easily, that most of the things that can harm us, are actually some of our social norms that we don’t even realize we are doing. Cell phones can have effects on the way people think and act, their interactions with people in society, and the amount information people retain from the direct result of multi-tasking. Cell phones are a very important asset to people, and good resources of information, but they can have negative effects on people such as depression, anxiety, and addiction to the use of the cell phone. Distractions from cell phone use have also been linked to many motor vehicle accidents as well. Cell phones were created to make our lives better, and more efficient, but do they harm us more than help
Technology has, since the primitive years, always been used to invent tools in order to solve problems. This would, in turn, simplify and make man’s life easier. Through advancements in the field, man has become more efficient on both the macro- and microscopic level. Anything nowadays can be attained with either the flip of a switch or a click of a mouse. One particular technology that came about in this time was the smartphone. Since 2008, the smartphone, a device that combines a normal cell phone with a computer, typically offering Internet access, data storage, e-mail capability, etc. all in your hand was deemed as ground-breaking technology and created one of the largest and most competitive market in terms of technology to date. Their increased popularity continued to grow and today, it is very hard to encounter someone without a smartphone. These devices allow people to disconnect from reality and grant them access to the world as a whole. People use these devices to manage their daily routine, dictating what they should do and when they should do it. The capabilities of this device had been unheard of before their time. However, is there more to this technology than what has been made aware to their owners? We have become overly obsessed with these devices that it has impacted our humanity – our interaction with others and society. Since its upbringing, the invention of the smartphone has come to negatively reinvent the way people go about their daily lives because we have become detached from society, let these smartphones govern our lives, and have become obsessed with these devices.
Smartphones have become a problem in today’s generation especially for adolescences that has shown a decline in focus and intellect in the past few years. Although smartphones are created to help make communication easier, they also affect youth’s performance and productivity in school, in their workplace, home, and their communication with adults. Other teenagers use social media to express their feelings online and to release their anger and stress. Most of the time, when teenagers reveal too much on the internet, violence and rumours can take place afterwards, which results in arguments and misunderstandings. The youth today feel as if they cannot live without their smartphones and without access to the internet. They have become highly dependent on their smartphones and this has changed the way youth interact with adults. The advancement of smartphones has negatively impacted youth’s social relationship with their teachers, employers and their parents.
The Negative Effects of Mobile Phones Voice mobile telephony has become widespread since the 1990s. The compass of the modern people is the mobile phone.
