In today’s digital age the importance of face-to-face communication is fading as one can go almost an entire day without actually interacting with people. People rely heavily on the convenience of emails, text messages, and social media. While it is impossible to deny the importance of these platforms and the way that they have revolutionized communication, it is important to balance these online interactions with face-to-face communication.
Two-way process of reaching mutual understanding, in which participants not only exchange (encode-decode) information, news, ideas and feelings but also create and share meaning. In general, communication is a means of connecting people or places.
