I believe the purpose of education is to teach children how to be successful and happy in life. A teacher’s job is to not only teach subjects such as mathematics, social studies, science, and language arts. It is their job to build character and prepare them for the future. But, this cannot be accomplished without parent involvement. School should be a place where students can feel safe, be themselves, and come together with their teachers and parents to help them create a successful outcome in life. A lot of material should be taught using technology and should be fun and enjoyable for the students. Teachers should provide students with the skills to be successful and happy in life by being a good role model. Teachers should do this by being a good role model and teach because they love what they do. The teacher should not judge a student or treat them differently than other students. School should be a place where students feel safe to be themselves. The students should be taught that everyone is different in their own ways and that they should all accept their differences. Teaching students about the diverse world that we live in and how to work with different kinds of people will help them to be successful in the future. Parents play a key role in student achievement and I believe that the teacher should do everything in their power to try to involve the parents in their child’s education. Parents and teachers should have constant contact through emailing, texting, or social media so that the parents always know what is being taught in the classroom and how they can help their student.
