Edgar Allen Poe is a very well known author of the past and present, and i’m sure still will be in the future. All of his writings show his talents that he developed throughout his lifetime. There are many struggles and misfortunes that he had to experience in his life. Some may believe that these instances may have brought many down. In this story I do not believe thats the case. It had made his writing stronger and more in depth than ever before. A famous writing of his “The Tale-Tell Heart” is one that I am going to talk about. Periods throughout his life, struggles, may be in my opinion the fuel to the fire that helped him develop this short story. I believe his difficulty with parent figures, his alcohol abuse, and his hard times during his life helped him go into the part of his mind that allowed him to create such a dark, controversial piece of writing.
