Ecology, or in Greek translation "study home", is the study of the interactions of organisms between it's enviornment. While biosphere means the whole worlds ecosystem. Why are these terms so important? The reason why they are important to everything on Earth because they hold and shape all organisms that live within them. Without organisms animals, plants, and everything that we know would never be able to survive. If ecology wasn't organized and delicate, the system wouldn't be the same to the environment or to the organisms that are and were here today. Evolution, Extiction, and the formation of new species would have not taken place without ecology and all of it's many factors that are applied to the organisms and the environment. The Biosphere connects to mostly everything here on Earth and is very important in order to sustain photosynthesis, decomposition, nitrogen fixation, and many other cycles.
Ecology is a complex and extremly large subject because ecology has to deal with different parts of Biology and connections to many other subjects, such as Earth Science, Natural History, and Biology. We know for a fact that Natural History helps back up Ecology because it gives it an insight on what happened with the enviorment and how the animals behaved. But how are Biology and Ecology relative to each other? Well, due to Charles Darwins theory of distrubition of organisms and their adaptation to specific environments lead to prove that environmental factors interacting with variation within populations could cause evolutionary changes within the specific species. The southern hemisphere tilts toward the sun and causes them to have Summer and the northern hemisphere tilts away from the sun causing us to have Winter. Wind patterns are created when Earth spins on it's axis which causes winds to blow east to west. And while Earth is spinning, land on the equator spins a bit faster than the poles which causes winds from the north and south to meet at the equator. Wind also take part in precipitation of water on Earth.

Ecosystems are a system involving the interactions between a community of living organisms in a particular area and its nonliving environment. In the tropical forest there are many living and nonliving organisms that interactive for the daily growth and life in the forest. Tropical forest’s cover about seven percent’s of the earth and contains approximately fifty percent of the worlds’ species. Tropical rain forest is and interesting ecosystem, it contains different and a wide variety of species. All the species interact with one another to help sustain way of life.
The different types of components of an ecosystem are connected. it is very important to know, because a change in the amount of abiotic resources available or a change in the size of anyone in a certain population of organisms can have impact on the size of the other populations found in that ecosystem. Also the interactions that take place between the organisms that are found in an ecosystem can change the characteristics of some populations. One example that characteristics can be influenced by population interactions include the proportion of individuals within a population to have a specific traits or the average height or weight of the members of that population. One type of interaction that can result in a change in the characteristics of a population is a predation. It often has strong influence on the characteristics of a prey population. biologist study how the characteristics of a specific prey population change in the response to a specific type of predation and to understand how different types of interactions can result in a change in the characteristics of a population.

A tropical rainforest is an ecosystem type which occurs roughly within the latitudes 28 degrees north and south of the equator. The forests are dominated by tall, closely spread trees, with a predominately continuous canopy. This ecosystem experiences high average temperatures and a significant amount of rainfall during the year.
The earth is divided climatically and geographically into specific areas where there are similarities in communities of vegetation, organisms and animals. These ecosystems are often referred to as biomes. Differences in biomes usually consists of identifiable plant structures where there is a specific pattern of ecological activity. In conclusion, the seasons occur because the Earth is on a tilt of 23.5˚. Different points of latitude at different times of the year receive indirect sunlight rays while some are receiving direct sunlight rays.
Tundra is the coldest of all the biomes. Tundra comes from the Finnish word tunturia, meaning treeless plain. It is noted for its frost-molded landscapes, extremely low temperatures, little precipitation, poor nutrients, and short growing seasons. Dead organic material functions as a nutrient pool. The two major nutrients are nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen is created by biological fixation, and phosphorus is created by precipitation. Tundra is separated into two types: arctic tundra and alpine tundra.

The main standard of social ecology is the fact that problems occur from inherent social issues (Dogan, Rokkan, 1974). These problems cannot be understood without acknowledging the social issues. The development, of certain technologies, social characteristics, cities and science all has caused a vast majority of problems to the earth, which leads back to humans.
