Imagine having a deadly disease and can’t do anything about it. Well this imagination is a sad reality for some people. Many people around the world are hit with diseases that have no cure. The Ebola virus has no vaccine or cure so people who get it have to fight or die. Many other diseases have no cure and kill many people each year. For instance Aids and Cancer have no vaccines or cure. Theses diseases kill a lot of people each year and they can’t be stopped unless a cure is found. What would happen if another stronger disease broke out? We wouldn’t have a cure right away or maybe ever. This disease could be the unexpected armageddon. Many drugs make people more sick so they need to buy more drugs. So really what those TV advertisings are doing is making people feel worse so they will have to buy more drugs to feel better. “For example, in the United States, the percentage of Americans reporting very good health decreased from 39 percent to 28 percent from 1982 to 2006” (Zheng and OSU). “It doesn’t seem right but the research says that’s what’s happening. When people take more of the medicine it doesn’t make them feel better it actually makes them feel more sick” (Zheng). Some people may say that the world needs to make more medical advancements so there will be fewer deaths, suffering and disease, however this is not true because the medical advancements we have made has saved lives. However, this is wrong because although medical advancements has saved lives, many people still die each year from diseases that have no cure. In conclusion, people should always be aware of what diseases and viruses are around so that no matter what people can be ready for whatever life throws at
