ESL Tutoring

This semester I decided to be an ESL tutor for the International Program and Dr. Azocar. When I first made the decision, I did it solely for the extra money. I figured that a couple of hours once a month or less would be a great way to make some extra money for Christmas time. ESL tutors are paid ten dollars a session, so I figured I would tutor my tutees twice maybe and make forty extra dollars to spend at Christmas time. Once I started to get more involved in the ESL tutoring process, I learned that this experience would be so much more than just east money, it was instead a very big learning opportunity.
When I first contacted my two tutees, I learned very quickly what I was up against. Right off the bat they thought that they were supposed to call me Harrell instead of Kimberlee. Once I corrected that issue I learned more about my two guys. The first guy, Sean, was pretty good at speaking English, but he had a hard time reading and comprehending English.
