ENTJ Personality Types

ENTJ personality types are natural born leaders that make up a mere 2% of the population. They are strong willed and results driven individuals that always get the job done. However these individuals tend to struggle with the handling of others emotions. For this reason ENTJ’s must remain actively aware of their actions as to not crush those around them. Through a series of tests and research I was able to learn more about myself as an ENTJ. This research enabled me to discover various factors about myself that will aid me in becoming a better employee, manager, and co-worker.

This is a major feature of my personality. No matter what job I have chosen to do since I entered the work force at 16, I was determined to do it well. For example as a retail worker working through high school and college my managers would always bestow tasks upon me as they would say “I know you will get it done, and done well”. Before I was aware of personality typing I considered myself a compulsive worker. However, now that I know what my personality type is and the implications of it, it is evident that these are just results of the different components of my personality working together. Some personality traits used to describe ENTJ’s are ambitious, forceful, optimistic, egotistical, adaptable, and energetic. I feel like ambitious, forceful, and adaptable are traits that best describe me. A combination of these attitudes can be wonderful in that they mold tough, hard-working individuals. However, I recognize that these traits can make me tougher on others than I should be. As an individual I am very ambitious and am willing to do whatever to obtain a positive outcome. It is important for me to keep in mind that not every personality type sees hard labor as a “means to an end”. ENTJ personality types struggle with others emotions and this alone can making working with an ENTJ difficult. However, once one has gotten to know an ENTJ they will most likely find that they are just strong-willed and simply want success for everyone involved. ENTJ’s can also learn from personality types that are stronger in sensing emotions as this is a weakness for ENTJ’s. Leadership is something that comes naturally to ENTJ’s. People with this personality type crave the responsibility that comes with being a leader and tend to gravitate towards this role even when working in a group. Conflict is inevitable in any career field. Different personality types handle conflict differently. ENTJ personality types, being extroverts, proclaim their thoughts and feelings to others. While doing this can help by gaining the input of others, it is also quite likely to cause a conflict with others whose views differ from theirs. Working with others is an important skill no matter what personality type one is, and it is important to sharpen this
