Why collect aerial data?
The telecommunication industry is already benefiting from the use of drones. Tower climbing is one of the most dangerous jobs with telecommunication operators, and they can avoid the risk through the use of drones for cell phone tower inspections. Commercial drones are changing the way operators are inspecting wireless infrastructures by enabling a safer collection of high-resolution imagery and video of tower structures and equipment.

Drones also reduce the need for workers to climb the cell phone towers to perform routine audits and inspections. This alone will cut down on the savings. Drones used for tower inspection also allow operators to quickly identify and verify tower equipment specifications and damages after a storm. Fewer climber’s means the total cost of a project will be lower in most cases, drones are able to cut the cost of a tower inspection almost in …show more content…

Difficult to access, tall, continuous, or remote assets can be imaged more cost effectively than existing methods. Detailed imagery can be captured to monitor asset health for maintenance purposes and to monitor construction. High accuracy surveys, aerial images and photogrammetry. Frequent aerial imaging allows change detection and project updates for repairs and construction projects. Aerial views for effective right of way prospecting and minimizing payouts to damages. Rendered maps and 3D models for high precision measurements and volumetric. With the use of a drone you are also able to access valuable data beyond the visual spectrum. Multiple spot check temperature readings on your remote assets to determine critical points and establish a maintenance plan. We are able to monitor leaks and manage safety. Measure volatile organic compounds, methane and
