Introduction
Throughout our lives we have been told that milk is good for our body and helps to toughen our bones. Drinking milk started when people domesticated animals for food, which happened around 7500 years ago in the central Balkans and central Europe. By that time consuming milk was not as common as it is today. It was only farmers in some specific regions that were using cow’s milk. Milk’s market grew the mass production of meat in the 15th century. Afterwards in the 17th century, the idea of eating out and going to restaurants was born and fast food industries, started using animal’s meat for producing their meals. The rate of milk users grew with the rate of meat users and milk’s market got bigger and bigger every day. Mothers were convinced that cow’s milk and dairy products are beneficial for their children and help them to stay healthy. This idea spread worldwide and the rate of milk consumers increased. That is how the milk market started and grew. As a result of these developments we can today see milk with different flavors and different percentages of fat in super markets, which demonstrates how many people consume this product. Many may be shocked when they hear that milk is not beneficial for our bodies, it is in fact unhealthy and brings many diseases. Cow’s milk is for cows and if we compare a cow to a human we can clearly see many differences, so cow’s milk can’t be beneficial for human’s body. Have you ever thought what is in a glass of milk? For example, according to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) short term diseases can cause high levels of cholesterol, and saturated fat leads to obesity, most people say this isn’t true but studies show it is. Why have your kids get sick when there are other things waiting, this is important for parents to know and avoid this drink. In addition, PETA says “In long term conditions it causes cholesterol and saturated fat leads to heart disease and cancer.” This shows that chocolate milk can cause illnesses or diseases to kids or adults. To conclude, Dr.Frank A. Oski Director at the Department of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University says that chocolate milk can cause cramps, diarrhea, and allergies, all things that can be short or long term effects. This supports my claim because, it shows that children or adults could get this from this harmful drink in disguise. Since the beginning of time, people have been drinking milk. Even today you will find a gallon of milk in almost every refrigerator in America. Milk is, and has always been, a staple of our diet. Because it contains essential proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins, milk is considered one of nature's perfect foods. Unfortunately, throughout the last century milk has been subjected to many forms of modern processing practices, which deprive milk from many of its natural qualities and benefits. Therefore many essential vitamins and enzymes are lost. Processing milk has altered one of nature’s perfect foods and changed it into something nature did not intend. Because of the abundant health benefits in raw milk, this report will explain why it should be made legal for consumers to buy throughout the United States.
Osteoporosis has become a significant public heath issue in the Western world due to increased morbidity and mortality. Optimization of calcium is important in delaying and possibly preventing osteoporosis. Calcium is known to be the most critical nutritional factor in achieving optimal peak bone mass. Dietary dairy intake is an essential source of calcium necessary for sufficient bone density. While studies illustrate the value of dairy intake as a source of calcium and thus bone health, contention on this topic has followed. Discordant viewpoints argue no effect of dairy consumption on bone strength and negative impacts of excess protein leading to metabolic acidosis which impacts bone mass. This review will focus on the benefits of dairy intake for managing adequate calcium levels necessary for bone growth and strength as a preventive measure in combating osteoporosis.

The idea of pasteurizing milk bagan in the 1920s, and later became an aspect of everyday life in the 1950s. Milk that has undergone this process is normally prefered since it is sterilized, therefore lowering the chance of human illness. However, it’s not the 1950s anymore, and the idea of pasteurizing milk has lost its luster for the people that now prefer raw milk. Unlike the milk that most Americans consume, raw milk has not been pasteurized, or quickly heated to a high temperature to kill harmful bacteria. Childhood Obesity is a condition of being grossly fat and overweight. When someone exceeds a certain weight for a given height they are considered obese. Lifestyle issues such as too little activities and too many calories from drinks are main contributors of childhood obesity. People eat for two reasons and those are either comfort eat or appetite eat. A study have shown that kids who go without breakfast before school are more likely than classmates to be inactive, unfit and obese.
