The 1920s to 1930s was the period in which fashion entered the modern era. It was the time in which designers like Howard Greer, Robert Kulloch, and Walter Plunkett liberated themselves from constricting fashions and began to craft versatile garments. Clothing styles were more conservative for the most part during the 1930s, since industries and people alike were recovering from the hardships from the stock market crash. Despite this, designers still crafted some of the most elegant apparel that even continued into today's fashion age. People bought the clothing they saw in films and eventually this signaled a trend in personal wardrobes. Some of the more affluent type of dress was presented by actresses in popular films like “Gone With The Wind” and my personal favorite, “The Heiress”.
Models in some of the photos displayed simple-yet feminine outfits. Other photos presented showed off long free-flowing dresses with low V-necklines.
