Arielle was the one who taught gymnastics to Gabrielle. Gabby caught on to gymnastics pretty quick and was enthusiastic about it. Ever since Gabrielle was young she wanted to compete in the Olympics and so she worked hard to be the best. And so her journey began to being the next best gymnast. She left to Iowa to be trained by Laing Chow, and followed her dream of being an Olympic gold medalist.
The next thing Shifali knew was that she was in a strange ... ... middle of paper ... ...gh and cry at the same time. Her parents explained that the school, her friends and Asha had pitched in to buy Shifali the leg. She was overwhelmed to see that there were so many people who believed in her. The new leg, and encouragement from her family boosted Shifali’s confidence, and allowed her to focus on her dance. She stayed motivated, and self-disciplined throughout the tough training classes.
Chesca, as I call her, has a very different life from the average high school student. Franchesca got started in this long-term sport because of her mother, Andrea. Andrea was a gymnast when she was younger and wanted her children to be athletic like her. She therefore decided to start all five children in different sports. Gymnastics was the first sport Chesca gave a whack at, and she became very passionate very early on.

How could Fortner deny her leading scorer? "Last summer, Chamique was surrounded by great players like Teresa Edwards. I think they were really good for each other, the grand dame' and the rookie. She brought some excitement to Teresa, who in turn gave some wisdom to Chamique. She played all over the world, leading the team in scoring and rebounding the whole time.
Gabrielle Douglas is an inspiration to me and many others because she overcame being homeless, moved in with a new family, and won Olympic gold in gymnastics. On December 31, 1995, Gabrielle Christina Victoria Douglas also known as "Flying Squirrel", was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia (Douglas, Gabrielle). Her dad, Timothy Douglas and mom, Natalie Hawkins were experienced parents because they had two children before Gabby. Jonathan and Joyelle, her brother and sister, we're very close with Gabby as was Gabby with them. Gabbys family was very poor when she was born.
First off, she was born with clubbed feet, a birth defect in which both of her feet were curved or slanted inward. Kristi started figure skating as a therapy to heal her feet, but she came to love the sport and stuck with it. When the famous Olympian shares her story to her fans everywhere, she inspires them to overcome their challenges and not to stop striving for success. Kristi Yamaguchi has also been able to overcome diversity in the world of skating. Being the first ever figure skater of American-Asian descent to win an Olympic gold medal, she showed people that typecasting or prejudice would not exist in figure skating.
Geovana Hilton is currently 19-years-old with an interesting characteristic and she is very outgoing. She has a big heart for her loved ones and tries to isolate negative people from her life, but sadly, the world is filled with so much filth that it is hard for Ms. Hilton to filter out those negative people. Ms. Hilton started High School since she was 14-years-old and studied in all Honors classes throughout her High School career and became successful with it. She earned an Advanced Honors Diploma with a 4.2 grade-point-average. Hilton was excited to graduate in all gold and white cap and gown, but some of the ignorant students were jealous of her success, which made her more isolated from others.
In the summer of 1996, millions of eyes were glued to the little ladies wearing red, white, and blue as they attempted to do what no one from America had done before: bring home the team gold for the women's gymnastics team at the summer Olympics. It seemed that it had come down to the very last vault. Everyone held their breath as they watched the United States' last chance limp to the start of runway after a disastrous first attempt on the apparatus. Fear and pain were etched into her face as she raised her right arm and sprinted towards the vault. Time stood still as she twisted through the air.
