Life is a cruel. It, will attempt to take one down; it will humble one; it will attempt to break many down. In moments one may not know what to do, instead he/she must a find a way to use what they have around them as an advantage to defeat the problems that stands their way. Throughout dark fiction, authors utilise different elements as a tool to defeating the antagonist. the story Dracula uses completely different approaches in taking down the mighty Dracula. In the novel Dracula, Bram Stoker effectively employs the different elements that are used to defeat Dracula. Stoker effectively demonstrates the elements that are used to destroy Dracula through act of Religion, the aspect of Science and the setting.
To begin, the author incorporates the act of Religion to parish off the malicious Dracula. When Jonathan Harker is shaving, Dracula emerges behind him without seeing his reflection in Jonathan 's mirror. stunned, Jonathan ends up cutting his face. Arthur has some extremely important news to share with Quincey P. Morris in relation to defeating Dracula. “Telegram from Arthur Holmwood to Quincey P. Morris 26 May. Count me in every time. I bear messages which will make both your ears tingle” (Stoker 97). Throughout the whole book, many telegrams are sent between each characters. Telegrams are a huge factor in beating Dracula because it helps the characters communicate with each other without physically being there. The mission to defeat the vampire becomes much easier due to fact everyone could spread apart but still have contact with each other.
